Buy it and keep it handy
Do you like fleas? No? Didn’t think so. If you want a solution that will wipe those buggers out for good, look no further. The smell is incredibly pleasant, in my opinion - though there are mixed reviews. Other reviews also state how horribly powdery the stuff is - it’s powder, what would you expect? They’ve also complained about how cloudy/foggy spaces get while applying the powder to carpets. Here’s a pro tip: keep windows open, & don’t hold it so high above the carpeting that it creates dust clouds. Easy. A thin layer over the entire surface of your carpet or rugs, let it sit for 24 hours or more (in areas where the fleas were worse, I let the powder sit for 72hrs). You do NOT need to dump a ton of this stuff onto your carpeting- unless you like making extra work for yourself… Some folks mention working the powder in with a broom. Don’t do this, unless you want to exist in a cloud for a while. Instead, what I did was apply powder, leave sit for a day, work it in with my feet (with shoes on - I’m not a monster), and that kept the dust from kicking up. Do wear an N95 mask. Trust me on this one - though it is a pleasant aroma, you don’t want to be breathing in all of that dust. Vacuum the powder up & make sure the vacuum has no other debris in it, and you’ll want to vacuum small bits, empty your canister, then continue. Otherwise, you will end up blowing the powder all over the place, as people have complained about. Bottom line, if you’re not lazy, and handle this product as I’ve described, there won’t be issue. The powder is pet safe, very much worth the price, and a canister will last a while if you use it correctly. It’s also made of natural, diatomaceous earth, which is the active ingredient that kills those annoying little jerks. Within two days, my cat and I weren’t scratching like crazy anymore. Also used in conjunction with a delightful peppermint flea spray on my furniture, that I will review as well. I note this, because people that have complained about fleas not being gone, must not have realized that furniture will have fleas on it, and they will jump from carpeting to furniture to hide. The powder isn’t something I’d recommend dousing all over your furniture, hence the spray. When used in tandem, my home was left smelling extra clean, and 100% flea free.

Yes the scent is strong but it works!
UPDATE: the ticks are back a couple weeks later so I bit the bullet and ordered the $40 Seresto collars which seem to be working. I still rate this product 5 stars due to it killing the ticks initially and refreshing the carpet. However, it does not kill new ticks that are tracked in from outdoors allowing a whole new cycle to start. As other reviewers state, the scent is very strong but does NOT stink. It smells like geranium essential oil and dissipates after a week. If you're sensitive to smells, wear a mask or leave for a day if possible. I love geranium so I slept fine with the smell and my dogs seemed to like it, too. I used a whole can on my bedroom that was tick infested. Before treating the room I was pulling 10-12 ticks off my two dogs daily. Now there's only 2-3 every couple days. It beat out all the other sprays, squeeze on treatments and cheap Walmart collars. I'm buying more to do my other room. NOTE: Wear a mask until the product is settled. I sprinkled it out then brushed it in with a broom and did NOT vacuum. It's diatomaceous earth which is too fine for most vacuums causing a dust cloud or clogging them up. Once all the ticks are gone I will shampoo the carpet to get the powder up.

Good product but strong smell not a bad smell just strong
We used it for the first time today and let it sit for few hours although I’m not sure if it’ll help with the flea outbreak we are having it was very simple to use very little work was required from us. It has left my entire house smelling like lemons and I’m not sure how I feel about it considering I’m pregnant and it’s a very strong smell. The shampoo we got from this brand also had a very strong smell of peppermint and it’s been two weeks since we used it and my dogs very much still smell like peppermints. But it did help kill the fleas off of them I wish they made something for yards as well if they do I haven’t found it yet lol. Love the products just leaves a really strong smell after use.

works, but bad for vacuum
I tried sprays and they didn't work. I put this down and walked over the rugs after an hour. The fleas were still active. I left it for 18 hours. Still active. After 24 hours their activity died down and I was finally able to vacuum it up. BUT, the vacuum died and when I took it for repair the mechanic said the power is terrible for vacuum motors and it shouldn't be used.

STRONG SMELL
The smell is so STRONG!!! It took days fro my house not to smell anymore. I also can't tell if it's working because ,y dogs are still scratching but I don't see any fleas on them. This product also clogged my vacuum, I had to take it apart to wash the filter and other internal parts. When you vacuum the steel is even stronger.

Do NOT buy this!
Worst product ever! I spent hours having to take a part my vacuum to deep clean it from the residue and dust it leaves behind. While I was vacuuming the dust went everywhere. Wish I had read the reviews before purchasing bc someone literally had same experience as me - gave me a severe headache and cough, the smell is horrible and I had to open all the windows of my house for days just to help remove the smell. Slept at my parents because I was coughing so bad. Worst week of my life. It’s been a few weeks - still have fleas and still have that smell even though I’ve vacuumed and cleaned out my vacuum. I feel like it will never go away. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! In order to write this you have to give it a 1 star rating and I wouldn’t give this product a 1 star - I’d say zero and pull it from the shelf. Now I’m worried bc I’m still coughing and sore throat.
