Yootech Wireless Charger

I have used wireless chargers for many years. One problem was the alignment between the charger and the phone. Sometimes the phone would move off the charger and I would wake up with a phone that had not charged.I was glad to see Apple implement MagSafe into the iPhone 12 line. I decided I would purchase the Apple MagSafe charger to test how well it worked. Once I saw how well it worked with my phones and cases I decided I wanted to get another one for my second phone. But, I wasn't interested in paying another $40 for the charger.I found more options had appeared on Amazon. Searching the listings, I came across this charger. It was less than half the cost of the Apple charger. The USB-C with USB-A adapter was something that stood out to me as my current power adapter is USB-A. This charger is fast charging, but not as fast as the official Apple charger. As I tend to only charge my phones at night while I sleep, speed is not normally crucial to me.I have thin cases on my phones, and this works reasonably well through the cases. It may not be as strong as it could be without the case, but it stays on well. I won't fear the phone coming off the charger.I also tested the charger on an iPhone 8. While there was no magnetic hold, it did charge the iPhone 8 without problem.Do not fear using this instead of the official Apple charger.

Yootech produces very good and reliable products. I have purchased several different chargers, including wireless Qi chargers. This charger works very well - the magnet secures it to the iPhone so you can use the iPhone while it charges (which is great). It appears to charge quickly (I am assuming at 7.5w) but I don't have a way to verify the current. It has both a USB-C and a USB-A plug (the end has a built-in adapter). The MagSafe notification only occurs when the USB-C is plugged in. That may mean that the charging speed is faster with the USB-C. The charging disk itself is well constructed and solid, but not overly thick. It is just a bit more than half the cost of the Apple MagSafe charger, which in my mind is worth the slower charging (Apple claims 15w).

2 stark points:1. On the bare phone: Unacceptable magnetic bond for anything other than a desk or bedside.2. With an Apple Case, the magnetic bond is actually INCREDIBLE! I think the magnetic hold and the charging speed is excellent.I bought 2 of these. They'll align and charge your phone really well and the quality is good. Well worth your money. If you have an apple case, this would be an awesome car mount! For some reason the apple case bonds to this with a 3-5 pound vertical force to remove it in a downward shear. No car bump would ever dislodge this even on an off-road go cart. However I hate apple cases. So I likely won't use this as a car mount. For the money it beats apple for home use (bed, desk).The cable, adapter and puck all feel of good quality. No overheating felt at any of those 3 points.

The media could not be loaded. This is the best wireless fast charger I’ve ever bought! This is the only one that would work with my iPhone 12 correctly and the magnet actually is strong enough! I went through five or six different brands that I had to send back because they did not charge! This actually works with the MagSafe. Even if you use the regular USB instead of the USB-C it will charge MagSafe correct. And it’s actually heavy duty and it has a rubber like feel on the bottom so it doesn’t slide around. This is 1/3 of the price of most of the ones I’ve tried. After trying one I went back to buy six more of them to put them in every room of my house! I’m going even even use one in the car! I’m gonna look for YooTech brand products to see how good their other stuff is! Finally a charger that works every time! I highly recommend you try it trust me it works! Oh and I almost forgot, I have a case on too!

Yootech’s Magnetic Wireless Charger meets all the requirements I wanted for an alternative to Apple’s MagSafe Charger.Yootech’s magnetic charger works with my iPhone 12 mini and my AirPods Pro (charging at different times). The charger Is reasonably priced and the usb connector on Yootech’s charger is interchangeable: either usb-A or usb-C.The cord is just shy of 5 feet long (by an inch) making it a convenient length to use while charging.Magnet works well with both of my third party magnetic cases.Because my phone is an iPhone 12 mini, the charger takes up more real estate but phone is still easy to use while charging. Charger is not in the way.Since I’ve only been using this charger for a week, I can’t speak to longevity but so far this charger has been excellent.
