Why I Love You: A Journal of Us (What I Love About You Journal)

I gifted this to my boyfriend as a birthday gift. I am not a person myself who would gift a journal ( because I am not really into reading and writing ) but I knew he would love it and when I read the reviews I got an idea it's going to be fun and cute which was actually true. I would recommend to order it at least 2 weeks before you want to gift it as it really requires your thoughts and efforts, it made me explore our relationship at a whole new level, made me think about our past -how we met, our present-how we feel for each other currently and our future. My boyfriend was amazed and shocked when he opened the package. I can never forget his reaction, it was priceless. He felt really special and loved and could not believe for a second that I actually did this. The chapters in the book are really detailed and you get an opportunity to scribble down your feelings and post your pictures together, which makes the journal your to-go-book to refresh your memories and bring that instant smile on your face every time it is in front of your eyes. I left some blank spaces in the chapter where it talk about the future (pets, cars, vacations shared) and left a small note - I would love to fill this soon, it really touched him. He laughed at some really fun things I wrote and adored my feelings where I posted pictures and wrote small thoughts and quotes. I drew small cute doodles wherever I could to give that extra edge which he absolutely loved. You can be very creative, fun and thoughtful with this gift, just requires a little time and thinking. I loved the idea of how you can make a journal of your love story, I am definitely going to show it to our children. This gift is absolutely close to our heart!!!

I'm giving this to my husband for our 21st. Wedding Anniversay. I know he will love this book! You will have so much fun looking back on your memories and may have memories that she or he may have forgot. The book is very nice put together. It looks and feels more exspensive then it is. The pages are so nice, they are thick, so don't worry about the pen bleeding onto the page on the other side. You have funny memories, goofy ones, some I even came across I couldn't really answer lol..it has a nice red cloth like rubber stretchy to keep the book closed, and a pretty red ribbon that is attached to the book to keep bookmark. It's such a great book put together well. You might want to get this and give yourself like 2 weeks or not even that long, so you can really think, and write in your words from your heart, if your busy a lot, it may take a little bit to finish, just go to a nice quiet part of the house, and make sure you have a good place to hide it! LOL.. But the book isn't long to where your going to feel like it's a chore, nothing like that, some are just a few words they need and others may be just short of a paragraph, so don't think it's just going to be over whelming to get it done, I thought it was fun, remembering all the fun, funny times, romantic times, he or she will love it! Even if it's not a Annerversary, or Bday, this would be a great gift to give out of the blue! Guys if you do this for your Wife, you will melt their hearts! :) . I think husband would really like it to and touch their hearts

i bought this for my boyfriend for valentines day, i got it two weeks in advance thinking that id be able to get it filled out in that time. it took me alot longer! this book asks you questions that truly have you thinking, and it will take you time to really even provide great thought out answers. i loved every second filling it out and it brought me back to some of our happiest memories, challenging moments, and more. i recommend getting this for your partner.

What I like: The book is adorable. I love the prompts they give because it makes for such easy writing and great memories. What I dislike: Some of the prompts seem repetitive, but I was able to write in a few different words. My biggest issue is the gold on the cover. It runs off! It's super cute until you see the scratches in the gold. I also saw a few reviews that mentioned that this is not a book you can get and give completed as a gift. This is not true (for me anyway)! I was able to ask my husband questions from the book without him knowing what it was even for. I got my answers and was able to finish the book. He seemed to really like it. Of course he isn't done reading yet, but he seemed to appreciate this gift.

Bought this for my boyfriend who is visiting soon. I didn’t like the zodiac part but besides that I love the size and it’s perfect for long distance! I’m going to use it for our love journal.

Ein sehr schönes Buch, super Geschenk. Die Seiten sind mit etwas dickerem Papier versehen, darauf kann man auch super mit bunten Filzstiften schreiben. Sehr viele, verschiedene Fragen und Möglichkeiten um dem Partner zu zeigen wie gern man ihn hat. Nette Details und liebevolle Verarbeitung.

I bought this as a Christmas gift and also as a way to say I love you for the first time to my girlfriend. We are in our later twenties/early 30's and had only been dating about 6 months at the time. This made it a bit more challenging to fill out. There were some things we had not experienced yet or some questions had similar answers because we did not have multiple memories of things questions referred to. However, that was fine! It is meant to be a guide, so I adapted a bit, wrote what I would want to do vs what we have, or just covered some up with photos! haha It's worth buying this book over others since this one has more meaningful prompts. I loved that they included places for photos as well as prompts for what the photos could show. This really made this book so much more personal and touching. I added really small photos that related to certain prompts throughout in between text too and doodles! It's also quite long, so she read it over the course of several weeks. Not only was this a touching gift that made her tear up, but it is also such a beautiful keep sake. Filling it out made me fall more in love with her too. I was tearing up while writing in it! TIP: give yourself enough time to fill it out. It takes longer than you think! I worked on it often, but it took me about a month. I would recommend giving yourself 2-3 months if you really want to do it right :) I feel like you could buy another in a year or two because your answers will change. It would be cool to have several over the years to look back on. The only con is the gold paint on the cover does scratch up a bit, so put it on a soft surface while writing. I'd like to see them change that part in the future and maybe a more attractive design. Overall, GREAT!

This is an awesome book. About 90 or so pages for you to fill in with little stories about how you met, what you like about your partner etc... Recommend doing the first 30 or so pages, and leaving some of the pages to do together. There is a section that is about us or such and its quite nice to go through together. I preferred this over the other knock knock books because this includes a lot more personal questions and space to write out. Just note - it takes a while to fill in.
