These are good and well-made. I struggle with sensitivity in the skin between my thumb and index finger, so the strap causes problems for me but I expect others will not have that issue.

My husband has had djupitrons and a stroke and his left hand is curled up. His nails are digging into his palm and I bought this to try and alleviate the indents to his palm by his nails. Which are very hard to cut owing to it being painful to move the fingers from being clenched into his palm. So far it seems to help a bit. The guard is nice and soft but I’m not sure I can keep it in the right place to protect his palm. But better than the Elastoplast and padding!

I got this for my dad who has advanced dementia which causes him to clench his hand. He developed a severe sore on his palm due to the clenching but after a few weeks of wearing the splint, the wound completely heeled. His care home ensure he wears this every day to prevent further sores.

Too small

The mitt protects my mother's palm and fingers after suffering a stroke which has resulted in her left hand being permanently clenched. This product is better than that supplied by the OT. Very speedy delivery.
