Excellent Product - Don’t Forget The Spout!
EXTREMELY IMPORTANT! When you unpack the box, there is a small package with a spout cap and brush. These are both critical pieces. Do not be tempted to use this machine without the spout - if you do, everything around the machine will become drenched quickly. I couldn’t be happier with this humidifier. The tank is big enough that it lasts through the night, even on the upper power levels of the dial. Out of the box, it’s very easy to set up. I cannot stress enough the importance of the spout cap though. It comes in a small packet and I assumed it was either an enhancement or possibly to be used for storage. Nope! If you turn it on without the spout, you will be enchanted by the massive puffs of lovely humidity coming out and think that’s all you need. But the fact is that huge clouds like that are heavy - too heavy to float away from the machine. They settle and condense immediately and very quickly, you’ll have a pool of water; not only on the surface you’ve set the machine on but it will soak whatever fabric might be nearby. The spout not only prevents this, it’s remarkably effective at directing the mist and pushing it further away from the machine and higher into the air. The provided brush is marginally useful for cleaning the rubber inside parts. But be sure to do this, especially if (like me) you choose to ignore the warning not to use essential oils or other non-water liquids. About adding oils: The oils WILL erode the plastic tank and fan mechanisms or even clog the wet wicking filter. There is product called Vicks Vaposteam that seems to be more effective and safer. My research shows that it’s less damaging to a humidifier because it has a high alcohol content so it evaporates and doesn’t clog as much. Edited to add: “Doesn’t clog as much” means it still clogs it. The oils WILL gunk and clog up the parts, sooner than later. I learned this very literally 3 minutes after posting this review. I looked over at my adorable little humidifier lovingly and noticed the bright red placemat I’d set it on was…maroon. Lifted it up and discovered it was saturated. Not because of a defect in the product, but a defect in the user. I’ve been adding nasal passage clearing oils to help with a cold and didn’t clean it out before adding more to the next water refill. Sure enough, because it’s a cold mist humidifier, the oils sank to the bottom and solidified near the drain. Backed the whole thing up. It took boiling water and a toothbrush to scoop the goop. About cleaning: Especially if you add an oil but even if you do not, debris and gunk will collect at the bottom of the tank by the rubber parts and wiping them away doesn’t get everything out. Oil will attract even more gunk and can very easily create molds and bacteria’s which, if you don’t clean out, will spew into the air with your mist. This really has been a great product and value - I plan on ordering a couple more for the holidays.

Effective and Reliable — Just a Bit Tricky to Refill
I bought the AquaOasis Cool Mist Humidifier (2.2L) about two to three years ago, and I’ve been using it ever since. It’s been extremely reliable and powerful. The mist output is strong, and it easily runs for 8–10 hours depending on the humidity level setting. While it doesn’t automatically adjust based on room humidity, the adjustable knob works great — it lets you control exactly how much mist you want. It does an excellent job of maintaining comfortable humidity levels even in larger rooms. The only downside is the refilling process. You have to lift the top portion, unscrew the cap at the bottom, flip it over to fill with water, and then reassemble it — which can be a little inconvenient. Because of that, we usually refill it just once a day. Overall, though, it’s a durable, effective, and quiet humidifier that’s served us well for years. Highly recommended if you’re looking for steady performance and great mist output!

How do I use the warranty?
Good unit. Quiet. How do I activate the warranty as ours stopped running despite multiple cleanings? Amazon ad says to contact the seller (Amazon) or see the manufacturer’s website, but there is nothing on that website. I have the warranty confirmation. I’m feeling like the warranty is not real.

The best improved allergies/resp for me and my pets!
This is price just right and works very well! Very easy to use just pull water into it put back on the base and turn it on. It puts a cool mist into the air whether it’s the summer or the winter it’s putting moisture into the air so you can breathe great for someone who suffers from allergies or respiratory issues and also great for pets who have allergies and respiratory issues. In the winter when you have the heat on, this is amazing you put it on and you get that moisture in the air helps to breathe better. I bought this for my dog. He’s a bulldog makes a big difference and I’m noticing it helps me.

Great for a Nightstand
My old humidifier gave out, so when I had a very stuffy nose, dry eyes, and slight cough (allergies) this spring, I looked to Amazon to buy a new one. I chose this one. I was surprised at its small size, since the one I had been using was probably three times larger. I wanted a larger one, but it was my fault I didn't get one. The dimensions for this one are clearly marked on the product page, and I failed to look at them. I just noted that I would receive it the next day, and that was good enough for me. This is a humidifier more suited to an end table than to the floor. Nevertheless, I placed mine on the floor, and it worked well. The steam seems to come out more in one direction only than with my older, larger humidifier, but that's to be expected. This little humidifier gets the job done, though, and done well. After only one day of use, my eyes, nose, and throat were feeling much, much better. I continued to use the humidifier through allergy season, and now I'll put it away until next year. This humidifier is so easy to use, You just fill it with water, plug it in, and turn it on. I do like the fact that I can adjust the level of steam that comes out since sometimes I need more, sometimes less. This would be great for a child's room when he or she has sniffles or a cough. Small as the humidifier is, it doesn't tip over easily at all. Now, a rambunctious child could easily knock it over deliberately if he or she were inclined, but It would have to take a deliberate action. Cleaning this humidifier is so easy. Just rinse the water receptacle, keep it clean, and that's it. When I need a new humidifier, I'll probably go for a bigger model, but until that time, this one fills all my needs and fills them well. Highly recommended, especially for a bedroom night table.

Ultrasonic humidifiers may be incredibly dangerous to your health.
Read this entire review before considering this purchase. The owner of the company sent me a letter requesting that I review the product. I had already discontinued my use without leaving a review, below is the reason that I've stopped. I had this product for 1.5 weeks before stumbling upon a list of several well-cited scholarly papers discussing particle size from ultrasonic humidifiers. These particles can, if used with tap water, cause minerals to be included in the "water vapor" coming from the device. Particles with aqueous minerals are known to be carcinogenic, the quantities of these particles was quite high. Prolonged exposure to these ultrasonic humidifiers when utilizing unrefined tap water, depending upon the local tap water hardness and general mineral content, can cause a few respiratory illnesses and even cancers. I personally do not want to breathe various metals and have them settle into the alveoli of my lungs. My partner and I instead purchased an evaporative humidifier (about $110 I think) that will not cause these issues. If you're using this with tap water, especially around your children, I would strongly reconsider. Here is a list of research paper titles that you can search up, the first one is not behind a pay wall but some of the others might be. I cannot post a link to these because my review could then be removed. Even reading just the abstract would be enough. Papers: "Effect of aerosol particles generated by ultrasonic humidifiers on the lung in mouse" "Measurements of particle size distributions produced by humidifiers operating in high humidity storage environments" "An overlooked route of inhalation exposure to tap water constituents for children and adults: Aerosolized aqueous minerals from ultrasonic humidifiers" "Size and mineral composition of airborne particles generated by an ultrasonic humidifier" Quote: "Our results demonstrate that ultrasonic humidifiers should be considered a source of inhalation exposure to minerals dissolved in water, and that the magnitude of exposure to inhalable particles will vary with water quality." - Size and mineral composition of airborne particles generated by an ultrasonic humidifier

Good for a nightstand, good for sleeping with gentle mist.
TL;DR, Considering for a night stand humidifier, it doesn't shoot the mist directly up into the air, rather it shoots it closer to the ground, meaning if you need moisture on you while you sleep, this one actually accomplishes that. Many, many other humidifiers shoot their mist directly up into the air, giving you very little when it falls. Unlike so many of the other humidifiers you can get, this one doesn't mindlessly shoot the mist into the air uselessly. My biggest complaint about the many other humidifiers you can get is that they typically shoot straight up into the air, meaning if you're trying to sleep and get some humidity for your breathing, you'll typically get none at all. This humidifier shoots the mist much more at an angle, letting the mist fall much closer. It's great for a night stand, because you'll actually get the mist on your face like you might want. I know I do, because it prevents my nose from drying out and me getting nose bleeds while I sleep. (I have a very dry air apartment) It's small, compact, doesn't have any annoying lights that will keep you awake, doesn't have a loud noise or fumbling controls that you need to mess with. The low setting won't make anything wet, and the water capacity is smaller so you can just pick the whole thing up and bring it right to the sink for cleaning. I'd always recommend cleaning the base every day before use, because frankly sitting water will always attract nasty stuff. As long as you replace the water and clean the base consistently, once every day, you'll not have to worry about mold or mineral build up. But it does greatly depend on the water you're using. I don't think, on the other hand, that this will really give a large room or two large rooms much humidity, but I've never needed that so this product works very well for me.

Hard to maintain clean
It's a good product i'm giving it three stars because it's hard to clean since the refill hole is so small a lot of build up and scaling happens. And it's hard to get rid of.
