Thank you Tabatha (in the 5 star reviews) for saying that these are the same as you have had since 1999! I have been looking for this style for 20 years! They really are!!! It is like someone found a lost cargo box full of hairbands from the late 90s! This is one of those items that people will either love because it is what they've used for so long and are thrilled to find a replacement OR hate. I have one original left from the dollar store that I bought right before I got married (1998). They originally had rhinestones wrapped around them and when those fell off, I kept using them. I bought a 2 pack and one got lost several years ago. The other one has been used daily to keep my hair out of my face while it dries so I can put a hair clip in. So, I am not wearing this all day. I'm just wearing these long enough to let my hair dry so I can put a clip in. These are very structured metal and are really just like my original one that has served me so well. I originally migrated to this type of headband when the original Goody plastic band stopped being made (IYKYK). These 8 will hopefully last me the rest of my life!!! I have tried several other brands over the years that look like these but are just too malleable to function well. These headbands are stiff enough to stay in my hair. Please note that these can be a little challenging to get out of your hair. I usually just flip my head over to take it out and then put in my hair clip. Some of the ends that go behind your ears are sharper than others. However, there is a little bag of plastic protectors to add if they irritate you. Please note that I don't typically wear these for more than 4 hours. I love how these stay in my hair. They can be bent to make them function the way you want them to. They are easy to use once you figure out how to use them in your hair. I think part of the reason they work in my hair is that I have long hair with a little bit of volume (curls) but my hair isn't that thick. I like that all of them are black. This style fits my head and helps give my hair more volume as it dries. They function to keep my hair in place while it dries. I will admit that when I saw the box that I was skeptical that these would work. The box looks like the headbands must be for children. I was really happy once I opened the box! These are such an amazing find! Again, thanks Tabatha for convincing me to try these!!!

I absolutely love these wire headbands. This style of wire headband works perfectly for my thin, straight hair. I have tried sooo many types/styles of hand bands over the years and always had trouble with them not staying in place. This style of wire head bands are the only type that will actually stay in place during normal activities. These are well worth it. They were shipped very promptly.

Gave me a headache

These work fantastic to build off of to make fae headdresses. Attached faun ears and antlers to them because the headband that came with the antlers wasn’t sturdy and kept rolling over. Used for both a reindeer costume and a faun forest fae costume. Also used to attach antennas to for a butterfly costume for another person.

Good deal for money but the teeth are a bit sharp, maybe not as noticeable with thicker hair.

They arrived quickly but quality was bad. Unfinished ends, that hurt the skin, not sturdy at all and even tangled my hair (very difficult to). Wanted to like them but it’s definitely a no.

I am not satisfied with this product. They are very flimsy and have sharp edges at the ends of the headbands. Will not purchase again and DEFINITELY would not recommend!!!!!!
