Great food
I got this for my pet mice because they tend to leave a lot of the little bits and seeds from brands at the pet store. They LOVE this food! Nothing wasted and they are always happy to have their bowl filled.

Tail and whiskers above other dried commercial rat foods
This is my Princess's FAVORITE food! I've had to begin ordering it recently through Amazon, as my local pet store no longer carries it; they inferred that it didn't have a high enough profit point for corporate! In my opinion, that is a feature, not a problem! Regardless, I will buy this for her no matter how I have to do so. Reggie rat food looks like real "food" when I put it in her dry food bowl. It's not just alfalfa pellets, or crushed questionable stuff; it has millet, and seeds, especially nice sunflower seeds, whole peanuts, dried veggies like carrots, and it even smells like the real ingredients. My Princess has been fed this exclusively ( along with fresh fruits, veggies, & occasional treats) for the last year, and we have had no health issues at all ( knock on wood!). She loves the taste, and chows it down without any complaints. She even tends to take some out of her bowl to "hide" for later, as rats tend to do with their favorite treats. That's one reason that I know she loves this feed. I have to tell you though, when my local Pet place stopped selling it without warning, I had to buy another brand until I could get more Reggie... Thankfully Amazon has quick delivery times, because she acted like I was trying to poison her with that stuff, and I can't say I blame her! Those 4 days were the longest I can remember having. I'd try to give her this dry food and she'd Bury her bowl in dirty litter, only eating the fresh foods I supplied. When the Amazon truck finally pulled up, I nearly said a prayer of thanks. If rats pray, she probably did the same. We no longer even consider trying any other type of rat food. She has found her ideal food and we don't mess with perfection! I wish I'd known of this food before. I really think that if I'd had this more natural stuff with my earlier rats, I might not have had as many health issues as I've encountered over the years. Exotic veterinarians who treat and know rats well are very hard to find, and I've driven over a hundred miles each way when I've needed one for my babies. I can't help wondering how much of their problems were related to the junky food being peddled as 'healthy' rat food. Reggie rat bagged food is night and day different from the other brands, and it is on par price-wise with so called 'gourmet' pet foods, which are also not as appealing, at least to me or my rattle, as the Reggie. Unless someone points me to an even better food, I believe and intend to stick with Reggie. It's tail and whiskers above the others!

Corn, corn, corn,.... but tasty!
This product is better than some other low level or highly advertised brands, however, there is a good amount of corn in this. Corn makes animals fat, and if you have animals prone to diabetes (degu) this should be a treat only. With this being said, I normally give Oxbow products to my animals, or make up their food myself if my budget is low (believe ot or not, grains and peas at a low income grocery store is cheaper than these vitamin enriched products). My critters get tired of the same food every day with treats only at treat time. I like to buy different "add on" or reasonably priced foods for them that they can all have for a week or so muxed in with their Oxbow to make them happy. The biggest hit is the flaked peas and some of the kibbles normally found in hamster food. I find that the Robo hamsters love flaked peas and any kind of natural nut or seed. This product does NOT have a zip lock bag. Colossal fail. Pantry moths WILL hatch out of AND lay eggs in this type of food. Keep it in an air tight container (or another type of food bag as I did) and away from heat sorces or simply store in the freezer. In all, a low waste food, good for hamsters, mice, rats, and ASF, but not a preferential food by my standars for health and weight of the animals.

Perfect blend. Healthy. Great price.
My lil mouse LOVES this food. I have to crush it up some and soak it in applesauce (he's just getting teeth, had to syringe feed him) and he eats as much as I give him.

Great rodent food
Mice love this food! As soon as I open the enclosure they run to the bowl. Seems like a good balance of different food to keep them healthy. Wish it came in a larger size.

AMAZING! Helped my older rats hair grow back!
AMAZING! My rat lost her sister recently, and was very depressed. I adopted two baby rats, which somewhat helped, but also gave her some anxiety considering they were young and playful and she’s older. I was also in the process of socializing the three, so they couldn’t be in the same cage when I wasn’t around in case of fights. This was pretty rough on my older rat. Her hair had been thinning beforehand, but it got much worse after her sister died. She scratched at the bald spots, leading to awful sores and cuts on her neck that she wouldn’t let heal. I bought this food as I saw another comment which said it helped their rat grow their hair back, and it was AMAZING. Her hair started growing back within a week, and she stopped scratching at the scabs, so they are almost completely healed. They all love it, although it has a lot of corn, so I make sure to give them other food like lettuce as well to avoid too much weight gain. She’s so much happier now, and all three rats are totally used to eachother and happy in the same cage!
