If you have issues with low testosterone, or should I say, low free testosterone (verified by blood testing) you might consider adding this into your daily supplement regimen. Also, adding zinc can also help with these issues. At least in a male, the body produces testosterone and this slowly, or quickly, converts over to estrogen. Blood testing can show how much estrogen you have and the normal range for your age group. If the reading is out of your normal range, like too high, and you also have normal testosterone levels for your age group, most likely, you are a fast converter over to estrogen. For myself, having this added took a couple months to work. But, my estrogen levels are dropping because of this and zinc. My point is, your doctor might be prescribing testosterone to deal with a whole host of issues, and that might not even be the issue. I can tell you from personal experience, taking testosterone stinks. You are always hungry, which can cause weight gain, you get pimples everywhere (even though I am 40 and well past puberty), it can cause you aggressive attitudes (anger and more propensity to road rage), it can ramp up your sex drive way too far and not help with actual performance and it can also cause issues with your prostate. Oh, and I don't think any insurance companies cover this, so you are going to be paying 25-50 bucks a month, depending on dosage of testosterone. Sorry that was long, but if you are having issues with sex drive, inability to lose weight, depression and your general health, consider adding this in and 30 MG of zinc daily. It works, at least it works for me. Don't be impatient with this though. It can take several months to work, but it does work. You will know it is working if your doctor already has you on testosterone and you start breaking out like crazy, gaining weight because you want to eat too much and have an unnatural sex drive (based on your age range and health). Again, always discuss this with your doctor before adding things; I would also suggest you find an ND to help you with natural supplements and help for male hormone issues (cortisol, testosterone, thyroid), as dealing with some of these issues is much safer and has less side effects with natural herbs and vitamins. The Now brand is a good Indole 3 Carbinol supplement and reasonably price. Life Extension also makes a decent supplement but that is a little more expensive.

My doctor suggested the use of Indole-3-Carbinol 200 mg. I used the NOW product and noticed that my digestive system was not correct and to not to be gross, but I had Montezuma's Revenge, which I thought may have been another cause. After reading that Indole-3-Carbinol can cause these issues I discontinued using the product and my digestive system went back to normal. I am giving NOW brand a 5 star, but use of the product can be dangerous to some, so be aware if the issue when using any brand of Indole-3-Carbinol, which would be a 4-star for any brand.

If you ever want to taste what old man breath, you know what I’m talking about, that rank papaw dry saliva rotten gum smell-(sorry papaws out there) - then that’s how they taste. By far the nastiest supplement I have taken right in front of selenium.. however, it works. I could tell a difference with how I felt after taking these for a short time. I will continue to suffer for the benefits!

I've been using this supplement for about 9 months. I am a 48 year old woman prone to headaches & migraines on occassion, and I'm glad this does not trigger any headaches in me. I mention this only because I read some current reviews that said it caused some people headaches. Since I am prone to headaches, and this product did not trigger any for me, I guess that reaction is highly individual, and prompted me to write this review of this product I purchase through Amazon, to give another point of view. I use this ALONG WITH my diet and exercise regimen for several months now. I've lost (as a result of diet and exercise) 48 pounds so far, I can not say if this has helped me do that, but I do take it twice per day. I also use this to regulate the estrogen in my body, I'm peri~menopauseal, and having issues, and this seems to help (hot flashes, etc) There is no magic pill, other than diet and exercise that will help you loose weight, I take these because of the Indole-3-carbinol (i3c) benefits which you can google yourself, as I will not go into all of them here. SO... read what you can on this product, and the advantages of i3c, and make the determination. I've used DIM, and these, and these are more cost effective for continual use. Eat right & get a variety of veggies in, get at least 30 min of exercise a day, and take your vitamins.

Love NOW supplements. This I3C is amazing! I was given progesterone, it did not agree with me. I looked up a natural alternative and was led to I3C. This amazing product thinned out my uterine lining so much, from having hyperplasia, the Dr. could not even get a sample! Nature, yes! Big Pharma, no!!!

I read so many reviews prior to purchasing and was concerned about the horrible smell described by others. I just opened the bottle and there is no smell whatsoever. Not sure what to think?! I just hope it works!
