The instructions could be clearer on this; for models that don't automatically reset due to the presence of the RFID tag, you'll need to hold the water button for five seconds to clear the message even if the water button doesn’t instruct you to do so. I was able to find that information on Reddit after other videos didn’t answer the question. Despite that very minor hiccup, the GE filter's performance makes it well worth the purchase.
