I recently installed the ARB awning on my vehicle, and I couldn’t be more impressed. From the moment I unboxed it, it was clear that ARB uses only high-quality parts. The materials feel premium, the stitching is precise, and the overall build is clearly made to withstand the elements. One of the standout features is the solid mounting system. The brackets are rugged and provide a very secure connection to the vehicle, giving me full confidence that the awning will stay put whether I'm on the road or camped out in windy conditions. Installation was surprisingly easy and straightforward. The included instructions were clear, and all the necessary hardware was provided. It only took about an hour to get everything mounted and ready to use, and I was able to do it with minimal tools. Visually, the awning is a great match for any off-road or overland rig. Its sleek design and professional finish really add to the overall look of the vehicle. It doesn’t just perform well—it looks fantastic doing it. Functionality is where the ARB awning truly shines. It deploys quickly and provides excellent shade and protection from sun and light rain. The integrated support arms and guy ropes make it incredibly stable once set up, even in less-than-ideal weather.

Update: Power vampire that I mentioned is false. Turning on the inverter on my battery bank is what is leeching the power. This thing uses 6 watts on and 0 off. The awning is still going strong and has proven it's toughness over and over. Again had to work hard fitting the awning back into the case nicely though. This time it was about 50 degrees and raining. Wish they had given it a bit more wiggle room so I wouldn't be such a chore. Also the elastic that holds the lid up is stretched out and no longer holds the lid up. Original Review: After my last cheap awning disintegrated in a light wind, I decided step up to an awning that can withstand some foul weather. The ARB hinges and connectors are still plastic like the cheap awnings, but the quality is a huge step up. Its very strong plastic and a solid size where the cheap awnings had connectors that were about half the size and felt like it was made out of bottle cap plastic. The awning material itself is also much thicker and heavier, and the aluminum feels much stronger. I'm still careful when I have the arms out unsupported, but the frame of the awning and brackets can support it with minimal flexing. I've already had this awning out in 20 mph and when tied down, barely moves. The optional led light is great. Bright, stays in the awning (which saves time and space in the car) and has 2 color options. I strongly suggest getting the leds as they come with a orangish color option which is great at night. (fyi the led uses about 6 watts. It also vampires a couple watts even when off) I only have a couple minor gripes and notes about this awning. It's heavy (reminder, this is for the hard case version). The awning felt sturdy with just 2 of the ARB brackets, but I added a 3rd for security. It is also recommended by ARB for the 2500 to add a 3rd bracket. Just the brackets cost $75 (25 each). The weight is also felt when rolling this thing back up. I can solo this awning without much trouble but my wife (who is about 5') cannot. Even with a step stool, she can't muscle it back in. When winter camping it gets even tougher to roll up nice and tight and has some trouble fitting back into the case. My first trip I had to reroll it about 3 times to get it to fit nicely and it still bulged out more than it does in warm weather. This makes closing the lid with the bungee style straps very difficult as they also lose their elasticity in the cold. I ended up leaning with all my body weight to push the lid closed while trying to strap it closed. The cold makes everything a bit harder and by the end my hands were freezing and my arms burning. Now as a hack in winter, I'll roll it up, use an external moving strap to keep the lid closed tight while I'm latching the bungee straps. I love this awning and really appreciate the build quality. I have never seen any other awning built as well as this one. it does add some weight which makes using it a bit more work then a cheap light weight awning.

Excellent packaging , it’s a best deal easy to install and no dent on the outside since it’s all aluminum which it’s the quality for your money , as functionality it’s cover the a big area !!!

Robust, perfect size, easy installation en the base rack, the canvas is super strong annd thick and the UV and sunlight protection is incredible. The light is super useful in the night, I’m very happy !!

Came with no hardware of any kind. No info of what kind of hardware to purchase, no bolts info (measurements). Unless you want to spend another $100 on hardware and a week to figure out what to get and where - DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. I returned it.

Unclear about additional hardware necessity, you have to buy an additional $50 of mounting hardware to set this up with most vehicles.
