Queen Size 3 Inch Thick, Gel Swirl Visco Elastic Memory Foam Mattress Pad Bed Topper Made in the USA

This mattress pad was heavier than I expected due to the large amount of material the pad is made with for the King size! We both waited a week to give it an honest review. The mattress pad is compressed but after 10-15 minutes I had it unrolled and put it over the couch the fist night to allow it time to expand. It only took a few hours to start taking shape and was full by morning! I did notice the strong but mild fume odor when I walked in the living room the next morning. That evening I put it on the bed and it covered every square inch and the sheets went over it and the bed with a little finesse! The true test has been "us" sleeping well and the maximum comfort and support it provides. It actually takes the weight off of our bodies and places it at the hip or thigh. We both turn alot less and that means better blood flow and a great nights rest! The fume odor is fading and barely noticeable now unless I catch a wiff of air as I'm settling-in to bed. No odors that wake us up or give us a headache! Its not that kind of odor. Its a non toxic odor from manufacturing! Kind of like a new car smell. That's what it is its just a brand new unused smell but as I said its fading and I suspect it will be completely gone in the near future. Love this mattress pad! I do recommend and we would buy it again! Meets and exceeded our expectations. Worth every penny, as our new mattress, itself, was too firm and cut of our circulation causing our arms to fall asleep and we would be tossing and turning all night! That is why we bought this matress pad to cover our uncomfortable mattress in the first place! Love it! Love it! Love it! I love and she does too!

So far so good. It arrived around 11:00 this morning. By 4:00, it had expanded to the full 3 inches and the smell was gone. While it was expanding, I set it in a spare room near an open window and turned it a few times to expose it to the air as much as possible.I made up the bed and the topper fit perfectly. Someone showed a picture where it was overhanging their mattress. Thankfully, this did not!Then tried it out - just a 5-minute test run. My first impression was that it was too soft, but the more that I laid in the same position, I realized it was behaving the way I thought my Tempurpedic was supposed to behave. I like to sleep on my back, but always felt that my waist was straining to get rid of the gap created by my butt. With this topper, my butt sunk in a bit and I could feel that my waist was being supported. The topper simply conforms to your body so that everything feels supported.When I got up, I was a bit worried when I saw that the butt impression remained. It seemed to go back to normal (i.e. flat) pretty quickly.Tonight is the big test. My husband has no idea that I did this (I chose to ask for forgiveness rather than permission :-) He is quite a bit heavier than I am so I am a bit nervous. All I can say is that I have been absolutely miserable with our Tempurpedic so something has to change. Please send positive vibes my way. I'll follow up and let you know how the night goes.

Don't get me wrong, I'm quite happy with this topper for how relatively little it cost me. A TempurPedic mattress of the same size would have run me about 20X as much.I've been sleeping on this for nearly a year and it hasn't become compressed. It's still comfortable, fairly supportive, and feels the same as it did when new. I personally might have preferred a firmer texture, but I can't complain as it's still way better than the mattress was alone.My only issue with this topper is it is hard to clean. It tends to absorb perspiration and is dang near impossible to get stains out. There are now dingy, brown-ish regions particularly on my husband's side as he sweats quite a bit in his sleep. I've tried blotting with large towels and using an enzyme-containing product designed for pet stains. Nothing's worked and I am rather fastidious about cleaning and not afraid to use as much elbow grease as I can muster. So I've had to get a waterproof mattress protector to keep any more moisture from seeping down into it. The stains that are already there I just have to live with.A note - I was alarmed when this thing first arrived. It was compacted so tightly into a small container for shipping that I was sure the angles in it would never straighten out. Not to worry. After letting it sit out on the bed for a couple days, it was right as rain. No more weird angles from where the foam was cut on the sides. Also, it does smell rather strongly of plastic chemicals straight out of the box. That also dissipated after it aired out and flattened.

This is amazing. Not too soft--neither I nor my SO sink too far into it, as happened with some other memory foam mattress toppers I've bought. I'm not sure if the "cooling" blueness of it really has a physical effect, of if blue just seems like it should be cool. However, for the sake of product reviewing, I confess I am often a sweat monster, dripping buckets at the slightest exercise or in the heat, which I live in practically 24/7, being in a southern desert. However, none of my previous mattress toppers have made me sweat while sleeping, though those were much thinner and had little holes in them as part of the design. So, I like to think that maybe there is something to the "cooling" aspect of this one, but I can't say for sure, so please keep this info in mind.This item arrived per the date given by Amazon, and though this was not the date I thought it'd be delivered when I ordered it, that was my fault, not the seller's or Amazon's. It smelled kind of bad at first but now it doesn't smell like anything. Also, it fits inside the existing mattress protector I have for the memory foam mattress. This thing is so thick and not-easily-deflatable that I think if it were on a hard surface, a smallish person could use it without another mattress underneath.
