Good compressor, as described
works pretty good for what it is, though the guage is a bit off. (I don't think I have ever seen one that is correct on these inexpensive compressors). Note, it will take plenty of time to fill your tires with this. It is good mainly for emergencies, and can only run for about 10 minutes at a time, before cooling for 30 minutes. Letting it overheat will kill it quickly. Usually on my 225-75 15s, it takes about two runs to get a tire from 15 pounds up to 40 pounds. Start your vehicle between runs to let it charge the battery back up! (Should not be used while running.)

so it can't suck, right
I autocross my car and frequently need an air compressor to add air to tires. I usually buy a cheap model because I have a habit of breaking or running over them; I saw this and thought "well, it's got Car and Driver all over it, so it can't suck, right?" Wrong. I will be finding a replacement unit ASAP and probably throwing this one out. Here's everything wrong with it: - The built in pressure gauge is way off. It would read 120psi (with the compressor off) while my Longacre racing gauge would accurately show 45psi. - Took forever to add 5psi to a tire, and REALLY struggled to get much higher than 45psi. What should've been a 5 minute job took 15. - The hose is too short. It was just barely long enough to reach the valve stem at the top of a 17" wheel. If you have an 18+ inch wheel, you run the risk of the compressor hanging by the hose, which leads to stress on your valve stem and possible premature failure. - The on/off switch is poorly placed, and the unit tips over easy. So when I disconnect the hose, it falls over and smacks the on switch. After everything I listed, that little annoyance is enough to want to throw the thing somewhere (except I can't, becaus the tire still needs more air). I don't have high expectations when buying a cheap compressor beyond "putting air in the tire at a reasonable pace" but this one fails that. This would be great as an emergency compressor IF you have a separate tire gauge with you and have 17" or smaller wheels and don't need more than 45psi in your tires.

Need air
The compressor works, but the very inaccurate pressure gauge stopped working after my first use.

Small and gets the job done
Great to leave in car because it's small. Had a flat tire and was able to pump up my tire and get to the tire shop the next day. Great for emergencies, would deff recommend for everyone to leave in the trunk of their car

Not what I needed.
Bought this to replace a Kia pump that you have to screw on rather than just clamping on. It worked, and would do for an emergency, but the gauge goes in 50 psi increments that are less than 1/4 inch apart so forget trying to pump your car tires to an accurate pressure. I should have ignored the 'Car and Driver' name and paid attention to the psi rating. Used it once and tossed it in the trash.

Great Pump!
This pump is fast when I leave my car running while pumping up my tires. I went from 30 lb to 50 lb in 10 seconds. The air hose for this thing is a little short for a huge tire, but it is OK for my 17" tires. It comes with various tips for pumping up other items besides tires, which will be a benefit to people with other needs other than being sick of having to pay money for air. I will be buying this pump as a Christmas item for my friends as it is really handy to have.

Really bad home use inflator
This is a terrible product or I just got the bad one. I took it with me on a car trip and fortunately I didn't have to use it. When I got home my other car had four soft tires that I needed to pump up. Hooked this inflator up as directed and it was a total fail. It fact, it started producing a really bad burning smell. Not worth it to me to cause electrical problems with my car. Since I was past the 30 day period purchase date, Amazon will not let me return it despite the fact that it is defective. My bad that I did not test this but it is still irritating that I can't return it.
