Fantastic Product just what I needed.
What a fantastic product. I had been looking around for a reasonably priced wireless camera mainly for recording the wild birds feeding and nesting in the garden. After searching for a few days, reading reviews and online video's I settled on the Blink Outdoor Camera. I absolutely love it! It took around 15 minutes to download the app, set up the controller and two cameras. Once everything was up and running, fixing them outside is just as simple, Two screws per camera mount and the camera just clicks on "very securely". The camera can then easily swivel and tilt to adjust its position easily and getting the position is made easier with the app open and in live view mode. The quality of the footage is outstanding as you can see in the video I've included of the app itself. I have also included a still of the night vision, this would have been a video clip but Amazon only allows one video clip? I currently have the motion sensor set to medium level on the nest camera and motion switched off on my feeder camera. Every time the blackbird fly's in or out of the nest or moves around, the camera records a clip currently set to 10 seconds but can be set longer. Once the camera starts to record I then get a message alert on my iPhone 7 and an alert number on the app symbol on the home screen. The video clip included shows me opening the app and selecting the notification and playing the alerted clip. The video clips then just stack up with the storage percentage shown at the top of the screen. You can "left swipe" to easily delete video clips from this screen to either free up storage or clear the clips. There is also the option to share any clip from this screen via email, text message, whatsApp or airdrop. I am also going to add a USB flash drive to allow local storage. At the time of this purchase there was also a special offer to include an "Alexa Show 5" as these cameras can also be easily set up and viewed through this device. All in all this is an excellent bit of kit and a great value. Showing it working with Alexa https://www.amazon.co.uk/review/RTJIH4I30L4O7/ref=pe_1572281_66412651_cm_rv_eml_rv0_rv

Solid, No-Fuss Home Security That Just Works
🌟🌟🌟🌟☆ Been running the Blink Outdoor 4-Camera Security System for a few weeks now, and overall, it’s a solid bit of kit. Setup was quick—connected through Wi-Fi with no need for cables or drilling. Just mount, sync, and you’re good to go. Battery Life: Claims two years per set, and so far the battery life is holding up nicely. No faffing around with recharging every few weeks. Video Quality: Daytime footage is crisp and clear, and the night vision does the job well enough. You’re not filming a blockbuster, but you’ll see what you need to. Motion Detection: Motion alerts come through fast, and you can tweak the sensitivity and detection zones. Cuts out most of the false triggers, like wind or birds flapping about. Storage Options: You’ve got the choice of cloud storage (with a sub) or plugging in a USB stick for local backup—simple enough, depending how much footage you want to keep. Overall: Great value system if you want an easy-to-use, wire-free setup that covers multiple angles around the home. Set it and forget it—but still sleep easy.

Ignore the 2 year battery life sales pitch...but..
1st things 1st-yep,as others have said-you ARE NOT getting 2 yrs of run out of the batteries unless you have a camera pointing at a spot that never gets activity of any kind and you never check the feed-it's a false sales pitch and should never have been included in the write up of the adverts. BUT- they are easy to use cameras,a doddle to install and the feed is great as long as you have decent wifi. Picture quality is fine and the deterrent is always useful anyway. Theres a degree of lag from motion pick up to recording start so you might miss bits but this is a minor niggle and can be corrected with better placement or,if you can-add more cameras. I bought all 6 of mine,a doorbell and sync box in the prime sales/daily deals for less than £150 all together-keep an eye open for those. High activity areas like one of mine have reduced battery life to less than 8 weeks,so get a pack of lithiums in ready. Theres no real warning about low power unless you have the notifications set to an annoying level either so unless you keep an eye of the device settings, you'll just get "camera offline" when it dies. I'd already read the reviews about power before buying so was prepared for 2 year life lie-keep that in mind. I'm happy enough with the performance, the quality and ease of use-have also subscribed to the cloud version-gives more options than just using the sync module. Looking at buying the solar charge attachment for my heavy use camera.

Great wireless security option! Easy to set up, mostly reliable, and a lifesaver for peace of mind.
After having a traditional wired CCTV system in place for nearly 8 years, I found myself in need of an upgrade. While the old system still functioned well, the image quality was noticeably outdated and lacked the modern conveniences of remote viewing and motion alerts. Add to that a troublesome neighbour and a new fencing project that was threatening to reignite past disputes, and I needed something quick and effective without having to run more cables. I originally settled on the Blink Outdoor 4-Camera System after what felt like a solid fortnight of research into both wired and wireless options. I was so impressed with it that I later purchased the 2-Camera System as well to expand my setup. Just to clarify, the cameras, sync module, and setup process are exactly the same between the two systems. Only the number of cameras included differs. For that reason, I have reused the same photos, as there was genuinely no need to take new ones. The main draw for me was the flexibility: no ladders, no messy wiring, and the ability to place cameras exactly where I needed them. Setup was refreshingly simple. Insert the included AA lithium batteries (nice touch, many brands do not provide these), download the app, and connect the cameras to the sync module via my Wi-Fi. I was up and running within 20 minutes. The build quality of the cameras impressed me straight out of the box. They feel well made, are very lightweight, and clearly designed to handle British weather. The size of the cameras is compact and very discreet, making them easy to mount without being too noticeable or intrusive. They fit perfectly on walls, fences, and even tucked under soffits without needing bulky mounts or large brackets. The packaging was smart and professional, and everything needed was right there, which I appreciated. Delivery was lightning fast as well. It arrived the next day with Prime with no delays. Performance wise, the system has already paid for itself. Within hours of installation, I had video evidence of our neighbour throwing litter and shouting abuse across the fence. It was almost instant justice. The presence of cameras seemed to completely shut down her behaviour. Since then, not a peep from her. It has honestly been a massive relief for my family. Daytime video quality is excellent: crisp, clear, and detailed. Night vision is monochrome but does the job well, although reflections from nearby walls can wash out the footage, so careful placement is important. Motion detection is very responsive, though almost too responsive at times. I have had alerts from three separate cameras all triggered by the same person walking down the alley. It is good to know it is picking things up, but be prepared for frequent pings unless you fine-tune the sensitivity zones. The app is intuitive and very user-friendly. You can adjust clip length, motion zones, enable or disable alerts, and view recordings. One major downside is the Live View feature. It is not as reliable as I had hoped. Sometimes it connects quickly, but other times it just hangs or throws errors, even with strong Wi-Fi and fibre broadband. The cameras always show only one bar of signal strength, even when right next to the sync module. Another thing worth noting is battery life. Blink advertises up to 2 years, which is probably possible under default settings, but once you increase video quality and clip length (which most people will), you will find yourself burning through battery much faster. After two weeks, I have already had "high usage" warnings. Audio performance is strong. Two-way communication works well, even from 15 miles away, as I proved by playing ghost noises to my sister via the living room camera. The microphones are sensitive, though on a busy street you might pick up more traffic than conversation. I opted to stick with the cloud storage plan after the free trial because of its convenience and affordability. Local USB storage is also an option if preferred. The 2-Camera System offers the same excellent build quality, ease of use, and performance as the 4-Camera System, making it a brilliant choice whether you are starting out with two cameras or adding to an existing setup. I picked it up on offer and thought the value for money was excellent, especially if you are looking to expand without having to purchase cameras individually. Thank you for taking the time to read my review. I hope that you found it helpful and that it assists you in your decision-making. I try to be as honest and fair as possible, as those have always been the reviews that helped me the most.

Not great - even after speaking to the Blink Support Team
Bought this on a Black Friday deal. After thinking Blink was a good solid brand. However, after using it I have coke to the decision it’s actually quite rubbish. The camera is not good on it and blurs outs from quite near. Unless the person is very close to the cameras you can’t really see the facial features. The motion is detected late and the recording starts late. Also it does not detect motion unless it’s quite near to the cameras. The night vision is very poor, we have lights that go on which improves the vision but, only a little. We have our wifi ready close to the cameras and a wifi extender device. But even with this the connection is slow. The tilt of the wall fitting is also very fixed, not much angles you can get as it does not have enough room to fully rotate due to its small stand. I like that there are no cables and that the camera is small and easily fitted. Functionality on the app is very basic. Come to Alexa was hard and had to be done multiple times. The instructions are not 100% and can be confusing. If I had to pick another system I would. Thumbs down. Update 10/12/22 - So last night it got really cold at -3C and the front camera stopped working. Not great for surveillance of the front of the house. Update 31/1/23 - after speaking to Blink Support about these problems: 1.Shows red battery image online even when there is charged quality batteries in the cameras. The support at Blink could not sort this out, so I can’t properly manage the battery depletion until the camera stops working which could mean when this happens my home would be at risk from a criminal attack. 2.The grid system to block out parts of the image that cause false triggers fails. I was told ‘ Activity Zones feature does not 100% block the camera from detecting a motion, it only reduces the amount of triggering, not fully blocking them. The camera uses PIR to detect motion, the PIR sensor detects changes in heat, and the heat can be anywhere in the camera's sight and can cause the camera to trigger. To better isolate the issue, reposition the angle of the camera’ When reading the advert on Amazon Blink promises that this is a tool to stop false triggers. However Blink Support says the above, which they should place this on their advertising material as it’s very misleading to customers. This makes the camera battery go a lot faster as there is no actual way to stop false triggers unless you stop the camera all together. 3.Videos pause when recording. In my original email to Blink Support I raised this but, it was ignored on the chat to me. 4.Videos are blurry - the high quality video still is blurry. This was also raised in the original Complaint to Blink, but was not addressed. 5.The video skips. This was raised on the chat to Blink Support but, was not addressed. 6.Cameras stop working when it gets cold. This was also raised in the chat to Blink Support but, was not addressed. 7.Even with sensitivity turned down it still triggers from light and shadow when pairing with grid blockage. This also drains the battery as you can’t stop false triggers. 8. Blink Support passed me to 3 different agents which was frustrating and it took over two weeks to get answers which did not solve the problems. After this experience I am not impressed with Blink Products or the support given. I would not recommend them as a product which can help protect and secure your property. I would say don’t waste your money and go somewhere else.

Good value.
I’ve been using the Blink Outdoor Security Camera for several months now, and overall, it’s a solid addition to my home security setup. Pros: • Easy Installation: Setting up the camera was straightforward, and the wireless design meant I didn’t have to deal with any complicated wiring. • Battery Life: One of the standout features is the advertised two-year battery life. While I haven’t reached the two-year mark yet, the battery performance has been impressive so far. • Video Quality: The 1080p HD video is clear, and the night vision works well, providing peace of mind during nighttime hours. • Integration: It integrates seamlessly with Alexa, allowing for voice commands and easy access to live feeds. Cons: • Battery Life Variability: While the battery life is generally good, I’ve noticed that in high-traffic areas where the camera is triggered frequently, the battery drains faster. It’s something to keep in mind when choosing placement. • Subscription for Cloud Storage: To access certain features like cloud storage, a subscription is required after the initial trial period. Conclusion: The Blink Outdoor Security Camera offers a great balance of ease of use, video quality, and battery performance. While the battery life can vary based on usage, it’s still one of the better options available for those seeking a reliable, wire-free security solution.

Effective when new, but susceptible to condensation problems
Great when new, but after three years, they had to be replaced due to condensation getting into the lens, making night mode ineffective. Trying the housing units, to see if that solves the problem. Having said that the ease of use, image quality and easy installation make them worthwhile, but when purchased when there’s a price reduction as full price would not be cost effective

Satisfied
Brought this camera to be used back home in west Africa. I can follow my family from the uk. Great product. Work under tough conditions, 40 deg C during the hot months. The microphone and speaker work great and is a great addition. The battery works perfectly well and has been reliable for a year now. Overall a good buy, at least for me
