Yummm! The best substitute for corn syrup in a recipe. Tastes better and you don't have to worry about all the toxins associated with corn. Great purchase!

This syrup has a unique taste. It arrived just as advertised in the individual bottles. Great on oatmeal or to cook with.

Liquid gold. I’m not a huge fan of honey and I get tired of maple syrup personality and this is the perfect marriage of the two. Liquid viscous sunshine.

Golden syrup is so good. Replace corn syrup with golden syrup and you will love it. I was worried about ordering online and not being able to see the expiration date, especially when ordering several bottles. They were dated several months out, so no problem with not being able to use it.

The product itself gets a 5* which is the only reason for that rating. Lyle's Golden Syrup is the UK equivalent of Corn Syrup / honey. My husband is from the UK and can't have honey due to allergies, and doesn't like corn syrup. It has a great flavor and is a staple in our kitchen. Not Happy with Amazon Prime Delivery!! I had to cancel the purchase because after 4 days of delays it had still not been delivered. This was next day Prime delivery that was "out for delivery" and postponed 4 times. Had to do a cancellation so I could order more from another listing. It isn't like the distribution center is far from where we live,not even 3 miles away. Not happy with the delivery.

Lyle's Golden Syrup. What can I say? If you know, you know. I didn't know until taking my family on a trip to England earlier this year. We had a cottage in the country and stopped by a grocery store for breakfast supplies. My wife grabbed a bottle of Lyle's Golden Syrup to drizzle on crumpets and oatmeal. I loved it so much that when we got home I immediately went to Amazon for more. It's good on, and in, many things, but I got it for my steel-cut oats that I have for second breakfast most mornings. I wouldn't say it replaces maple syrup on pancakes, but it's a fun alternative to swap out on occasion. Following Lyle's on social media has opened up a whole new world of recipes, and I look forward to experimenting. You can also buy this in the traditional cans (which apparently haven't changed in over a century). I ordered some of those as well, but most came dented in shipment. So while fun for nostalgia, I'll probably order future shipments in these bottles and save potential damage in shipment. Enjoy!

I love the taste of this. To me it tastes like a light molasses. That's how I would describe the taste. I used this to make Icelandic Rye Bread (Rúgbrauð). The bread you need to really like a very dense and strong rye flavor.
