The "1001 One-Liners" book isn’t bad, especially if you’re looking for light, family-friendly humor. It delivers a ton of quick, clean jokes that are easy to share at casual gatherings or with kids. I chuckled at a few, but personally, I prefer something with more bite, like the Rivalry Jokes, Rants, and Roasts college series (Ohio State, Georgia, and the Michigan one is my favorite!). Those pack a punch with sharp, targeted humor that hits hard if you’re into that scene. This book, by contrast, feels a bit too generic and soft for my taste.

I bought this book as a Christmas gift for my teenage son. I sifted through the book when I got it to check things out and this book was shockingly offensive. The majority of these “jokes” were disturbing. “I had a tough time at school. The other kids used to push me around and call me lazy. I loved the wheelchair” “OK I’ve had it with cold turkey now! I’m getting back on the heroin” ARE YOU FRIGGIN KIDDING ME?! I set up a return and Amazon doesn’t even want this garbage back, they just gave my money back. It doesn’t deserve any stars but Amazon made me pick one.

So pleased I chose this book, we had such a laugh taking it in turns reading these jokes out around the Christmas table, funnier than the jokes from the Christmas crackers. This is going to be used so often now.

I like jokes and quick bantering, so I looked forward to this book. Unfortunately, the "jokes" was mostly built on the same template: Wordplays that require you to live in England to use, touching more than a bit of sexual contents, suitable for youngsters only. So mostly boring. I gave my copy to a charity collection...
