Convenience Concepts Oxford TV Stand, Black

Like many other reviewers mentioned, this piece is very, very tricky to assemble, especially if you’re not familiar with this hardware or assembly system. I gave it a go for about an hour before giving up and then realized that there was a customer service number on the manual. Without much expectation, I called. To my surprise, I got a customer service specialist who walked me through the entire assembly. 45 minutes later, I had a fully assembled unit and it looks fantastic. Sturdy and good looking. Some minor downsides: the strong chemical odor took about a day to subside, the shelves are rather short making it difficult to place books in an upright position, and the back panels that cover all the wires are too long so I wasn’t able to use them. Otherwise a really nice looking, functional piece. Again if you’re struggling with assembly, call the company. Customer service was incredible.

I love the look of this TV stand. It is very clean and a good size. The assembly directions are not great. You need to be VERY intuitive with assembling. I had someone help me and it took us BOTH about 2 hours to put it together. Other than that, the value is good for the money. The screw holes are large but you can’t really see them looking at the stand head-on and I have plants on either side. The stickers for the holes are not what I would use, personally, but nice to have them included. If you’re looking for a good-looking, good value TV stand, I would recommend this product.

Just as pictured. Much sturdier and solid than expected with is so nice. I love it. 55 in TV very sturdy. Will be filling with books.

READ BEFORE CONSTRUCTING!Ok first of all- this isn’t IKEA furniture where you’d better follow the directions step by step or you’ll eventually commit a justified violent crime- you’ll need to be more intuitive. The instructions aren’t bad, they’re just clearly somewhat disordered, so plan on wearing your comfy pants and having an adult beverage handy for immediate post-construction imbibing. The items are constructed of what’s basically pressed cardboard wrapped in some kind of melamine-like coating. It’s not particularly flimsy, just isn’t wood, not even pressboard, so be gentle when putting it together.I’ve included pics of the cam bolts because you’ll surely run in to this issue and knowing what to look out for will save you much frustration. The first pic shows some of the paper fiber still in a hole where a cam lock should fit. IF YOU DO NOT REMOVE THE EXCESS FIBER YOU WILL NOT GET THE LOCK PROPERLY SEATED.The second pic shows a cam lock that’s improperly seated. It’s sitting level with the surface instead of slightly below, where it needs to be, as shown in the 3rd picture.The fix is easy. Grab your flathead screwdriver and gently scrape around the sides and bottom of the pre-drilled hole. Once the lock is properly seated, attaching the bolt is a cake walk. Also, it’s much easier to attach the center support piece to the top and middle shelf first then connect vs trying to get both center pieces on the center shelf as the directions indicate.I also ordered a side table and the coffee table. This piece came with a small, clearly factory-related mar on the top but it wasn’t enough to cause me to return, minor imperfection is all. Were it not for the mar and poorly prepped holes, knowing full well I ‘d get what I ‘d paid for it would be a 5.Alsp I had a badly stripped bolt on another piece- contacted the company and got a fast response, and they sent me a replacement immediately. I was pleasantly surprised.

I don't really understand the bad reviews and the struggles to assemble. I assembled by myself in under an hour. (and I'm a grandma!) Cam screw holes are supposed to be slightly smaller so they grab tight. Yes it splintered a little as they were going in but it's under the piece you are attaching. Our daughter had purchased the sofa table a couple years back for her bedroom and loves it. She's moving so we got the matching TV stand and end tables for her new apartment. I think its a great starter set.

This product is perfect for my needs! It was difficult to find a white tv stand that was just what I wanted, and this one was it. It looks exactly like the picture. I love the four large shelves. I think the price was very good for what I wanted.

The design of this tv stand is cute and matches my living room decor. It was easy to put together and took me a little over an hour (with distractions). I was really excited to add this to my iiving room but noticed that several of the pieces had cosmetic damage on it, where the finish chipped off. I was able to hide most of them, but I couldn't hide them all. It would be too much of a hassle to send back. I know it's not high quality but I still expect something I spend over $100 on to be in great condition. Also, I would have preferred plastic caps or something along those lines to hide the screw holes, as opposed to stickers.

This is an excellent product for the cost. It's very sturdy and easy to assemble.
