Favorite kitchen item
I purchased this wok recently and fell in love. I keep it out on the stove because we use it daily. You can make almost anything and a wok! It's nonstick and washes up easy. My favorite thing to make in this is a spaghetti dish. It comes with a beautiful large wooden lid. The lid is actually reusable for other dishes as well. I think you get a lot for your money and it's a great product at a great price. I would highly recommend this for all of you that love to cook.

Love this wok!
Well made, light weight,so easy to use. I was amazed how well packaged everything was, anda useful tote bag to boot! The rich wooden handle comes in its own air bubble tube to prevent any damage to it. The wooden cookware is rich and well made as well and its own lofa sponge! The stepped wooden lid is well made as well, no rough spots or chips. The removable handle is easy to put on and take off, allowing the wok to be used in the oven upto 450 deg. Seasoning is easy, and step by step instructions are included and easy to follow. I would suggest that you treat the wooden lid and utensils as you would any fine wooden kitchenware. Just rub a little food grade mineral oil or wood care oil on before using and as needed after. The last picture shows the last paper towel from the seasoning process. A little black is OK! Store your wok up side down to prevent any moisture build up that could cause rusting. This IS steel and like cast iron needs protection from moisture. Reseason as needed. The more you use it, the better the non stick gets. It is NOT treated with any non stick coating, so no icky stuff in your food! I am more than happy I chose THIS wok. I love it, and you will too! Happy cooking!

First wok, and I love it *updated
Update: used on a metal coil stovetop for a few years. Got a new induction top and have learned just how not flat this is (anymore?) so I'll be buying a flat wok to replace it. It still works great on my neighbor's gas stove (made a nice hand-me-down gift). ------ I oiled it and baked it in the oven (without the handle) after some YouTube watching. Don't skip this! I can toss a stir fry pretty easily as it's not terribly heavy. The wooden lid isn't the most sturdy, but it does work. And it fits on my other pans, making table-top serving a little more attractive. Of course, don't put the wok on the table to serve! It's for higher-temp cooking and not for serveware. It works great on my electric coil (eww) stove. When I'm done cooking, I let it cool on a trivet for a minute while I plate, then I put in about a tablespoon of water, deglaze it with the wooden spatula, wipe it with a dry towel to get the bits and to spread out any oil remaining, then plop it back on the still-warm element to dry completely. It's cool to the touch after dinner and ready to be put away. If there's the occasional stuck on junk, use the included loofa - it detaches with little effort! And if you notice any seasoning coming off, re-oil and re-bake! This is a great first-buy wok, and may become your last-buy wok! Don't leave a dirty wok laying around like last week's mac-n-cheese pan. A moment of care will help this last a lifetime.

My favorite pan
Bought this wok over a year ago, use it often, and it's become my favorite pan. When seasoned and heated properly, it's practially nonstick. The carbon steel allows it to be lighter than cast iron, though it's still pretty heavy if you're trying to toss your food while cooking. The other thing to keep in mind with stovetop woks is that you need a really high flame to get it hot enough to function well and produce real wok hei. I don't think it would work well on an electric stovetop. Gas is better but residential gas ranges have to be turned way up. An induction range or commercial gas burner would be best. I manage with my gas range on high. It's also a really well-made, beautiful pan.

Amazing Wok
This product is absolutely amazing. It is so versatile that it is my go to cooking apparatus. I don't know how I ever made it without using a wok. It is the right size and I'm able to do good stir fry and the seasoning process took a while, but it functions perfectly. I am able to sauté, stir-fry, deep fry and even make popcorn in this wok as it is so functional. I compared many woks as I'm new to wok cooking but are very happy with this product. If I had any criticism it would be that I wish they had included more information about other methods to season the product. In addition it would have been nice to add a small instruction or recipe book had been included. I'm not quite sure really what the gloves and loofah brush was for, as I would have like some instruction to understand what they were for as related to the wok; meaning was the loofah brush designed to be used ongoing or during the seasoning process. I assume the plastic gloves were just an extra. I think a brochure of some kind would have been good to talk about maintenance for their product. All in All a very good product and highly recommend.

damage over time obvs
I've had this wok for a long while now. A couple years at lease if even that. While it's easy to use and nice, I've found that for what ever reason small pits have formed. We take care of it as one should for woks, in fact we have two others from different brands. Neither of those formed pits. So word of caution I suppose. It still works it just forms pits.
