520858M1 Two Gear Shift Rubber Boots Fits Massey Ferguson Tractors 35 135 235 240

These are smaller than the original rubber boots on my MF165, so much so that I thought I ordered the wrong thing. Installation will require a touch of lubricant, pblaster or wd-40. A human sacrifice, or at least 3 sacrificial fingers of your least favorite child or other relative, and a fluent working of a large vocabulary of a four letter word dialect. After using a rod to work the rubber over the spring in the same manner as you would mounting a tire, I applied enough lubricant to the shaft lip to slide it easily into place on the gear shift, and then with almost know room wor work with simply had to use my fingers to roll the rubber around the metal casing upright until it all fit. The fit is tight, and will deffinitely keep the water out, but you will be sore after you get it installed!

Got water in my hydraulic tank because the boots were bad. After finding these, I have been able to clean my hydraulic system and no more water issues

These are junk good thing I bought a two peace set but honestly if the second one cracks out around the belly of the shift boot and cracks then rips after own use it’ll be as good as throwing $9 dollars down the toilet one week and one use shifting three times and it’s junk. Raparts is a good co why sell trash guys?

They're a bit smaller than the original ones, couldn't use the springs that were under the originals, but, they fit well,fit tight,didn't tear, kept the water out and have lasted outdoors for a year now. Very happy so far.

This fit the gear shift of what I think is my 1978 Massey ferguson 135. Hard to say how it will last in the cold tho! Hoping for the best!
