After a couple of adjustments (taking off some seat brackets, drilling some holes in the mounting bracket and grinding off some bolts from the sliding rails of the seat) I was able to fit an rx8 seat I pulled from a scrapyard for 50 bucks to the mount. It works great, and I saved a lot of money compared to buying a purpose built sim racing seat. I didn't even need the bars that connect to the pedal and wheel assembly as the weight of the chair and the rubber feet of the mount, along with a non slip mat keep it from sliding under heavy breaking. I would highly recommend this to those looking to save some money and get a more genuine sim experience.

The knobs that screw into the bars that hold the seat to the wheel have very cheap welds and the insert that the knobs screw into broke off.

I purchased the chair base thinking that I could use it for my flight simulator. But, it is too low to the ground. I was able to modify the chair base for my flight sim chair with metal adjustments. It is a well constructed chair base and would be great for a race car sim. I would recommend the base for a race car simulator project. If you want to use it for a flight simulators, expect to do some minor modifications.

I completed my cockpit build with this purchase and it’s barely passable. I had to do a lot of DIY mods to make this work. If you already have the steering wheel mount, it’s and understandable purchase but Amazon really needs to be purge of these low-end cockpit options. The low grade steel and hardware is a joke. I wonder how much these companies make off these products.. the connecting bars to the wheel base are a few inches too short; I’m not sure what they were thinking.

Mounted cleanly with only a small bit of fab to a 328i seat! Works great!
