This is an awesome product that works great! These are game changing for quick access to filtered, cold water!

When I was hired to take over a property, I discovered that they had been paying almost $60.00 a month for a water cooler.... Since 2001! $700 a year X 23 years = a shocking $16,500! Told the vendor to come and get their $16,000 water cooler, and purchased this one. Took about 20 minutes to install. Has the exact same features as the $16,000 cooler.... hot and cold water.... lol and takes up a heck of a lot less space. I wish the cold water was a bit colder and that it had a bigger internal cold water tank, but those are just wishes, unit works perfectly as advertised and at $100 bucks, and filter changes, I figure to save $500 a year. Will probably order one for my home bar as well. Not for high volume cold water, but a great buy!

I bought this 4 months ago. Followed all directions. Everything is installed correctly (charcoal filter after the sediment filter, etc). The unit functions as desired. On initial setup, I ran 2-3 gallons of water through the system. I've run water through it for 4 months now, and yet the water it outputs still tastes distinctly of charcoal. And, now, as I look to replace the filters, I find out they are an expensive, proprietary format. Overpriced, with an off-tasting output. I ordered 2 new after-market filter housings, and 4 sets of generic 2.5 x 10" sediment/charcoal filters, all for about the price of one set of the mfg's proprietary replacement filters (modified setup shown in photo). The new filters produce perfect tasting water (which really has no taste at all). If the original filters would have actually worked properly, I would probably have given this 3 stars, even with the proprietary format. The unit itself functions fine.

Our water from the faucet is frequently brown/yellow colored. And we live within 1/4 mile of our local Water Treatment Facility. Lenoir City Utility Board said our yellow/brown water is safe to drink but I don't want to. I think water out of the faucet should look like water! This water doesn't even taste good and I don't even want to give it to my dogs to drink. We have used a Zero Water Filter Pitcher for a few years but we have to refill it numerous times a day. And when you do that then the water is never very cold. I saw this on Amazon and it was a very good price so I ordered it. My husband who is a plumber, among many other trades. It took him about 3 hours. We did have to drill a hole through our granite top and he is very particular about the way his work looks, even if it is under a sink. So that does take him a bit longer than your average plumber. (Because he's above average!) The Hot water is HOT! And it's awesome! And the cold water is cold and I was able to fill my gallon jug up with water today for the first time in years! Replacement filters are a little expensive but they should last for around 6 months (1,500 gallons). They are $99 for the set and if you subscribe you save 15% on the Avalon website.

I installed this cooler WITHOUT the filter set as the water line is already filtered with a micropore three-stage system. Installation was simple, but I did have to go to Home Depot for a compression fitting and cap. Once installed the cooler started up and cooled the water effectively, but the water coming out was AWFUL. Very strong metallic tang. I had to run about ten gallons of water through it over several days before it started dispensing the clear tasty water that my other filtered devices enjoy. It's operating flawlessly now, with no hint of the (contamination?) after installation. Overall I'm very happy with it. Just wish it had dispensed clean water initially.

Bought it 8 months ago.. Cold water stopped working, after troubleshooting online with Avalon, nothing worked, they decided to ship a whole new unit to me for free! Am super happy with Avalon ! Water is not only super cold!!!! But tastes wonderful. I truly recommend it.

Very good product but low durability. I bought another because of the price is affordable, but last version of same product stop dispensing water after 1 year and 5 months. I reset the system and opened the machine and it seems the water were frozen. Since I didn't have warranty I ended up buying a new one instead trying to fix the old one. Checked on Reddit and it seems is a common issue. Seems all components are very tight and is difficult for me try to fix this issue. Let's see how it goes this new version.
