I have only looked at the sony bravia on a google search, and it looks like the top of the TV is thin and just screen. The shelf will fit, but you should be very careful about how much weight you put on the shelf, given how thin the screen is.

the length is approx. 4 inches, and the narrow part is about 1/4 inch, the "broader" part is about 3/8". I have a modem and a router on my pc, and and on my tv, i have a cable box.
