I put raw carrots with pre-cooked meat and potatoes into one of these bowls and microwave with a glass "hood" (to keep in steam) it on MAX power for 3 or 4 minutes and I've got a hot meal with no plastic involved. The bowl gets warm/hot to the touch so I use a heat glove to take it out of the microwave. But it's not so hot that if I forget the glove I burn myself. What I like best about these are the weight/heft. They are solid, with a shiny finish that is easy to clean and feels durable as glass. I find they are a perfect size for a meal -- good depth, optimal white to allow the food to shine naturally, sensibly round, and all in all a superior way to serve a meal, better to my preference than a plate.

I purchased the 45oz, white, ceramic bowls a few years ago. They are very sturdy and have zero chips in a house full of clumsy people. We use these so much that I ordered more. They are excellent for pasta, salads, dips, separating main entrees and sides, really anything. They have an excellent weight to them and they hardly look used when they are used daily. Typically ceramic scratches but these are sturdy with minimal wear and scratches. These are very large but exactly what we wanted. I absolutely love them and recommend them. Just be sure to scale down your portions because these are very big and will make it look like there is no food on your plate.

Love this salad/pasta bowl/serving bowl. The aesthetic and quality are above expectations plus the price is pocket friendly too. It is big enough to serve chips/other appetizers or entrees and cute enough to eat for an individual. I bought in white color which I think is the best.

Perfect! Just the right size for large salad portions, pasta, soup, & stew! Easy to clean! I also like the weight, sturdy, not fragile.

The bowls are stylish and a great size. They have a substantial weight to them and are dishwasher safe. My only disappointment is that I searched for USA made and these erroneously came up. They omitted country of origin in the space provided (intentionally deceptive?), and they're actually from China.

These bowls are just the right size for our use. Perfect for pasta or salads or soups or just about anything really. they are a sturdy elegant simple design..not light and fragile. Good for daily use. We love them.

I love these bowls. I wish I had the set when my kids were home. Excellent quality , just a really nice look. The size works for everything from cereal to salad . Not too heavy but very sturdy. I just wash them by hand , haven't tried to put them in the dishwasher yet. I was so excited to see them I didn't even look to see if they came in different colors so I got the white. I would definitely recommend these bowls. Plus they came very securely packed which I appreciated. Delivery was very fast , I was surprised to see the box at my door.
