Great but if you need full bandwidth choose the 1200AC version
As someone needed to extend our connectivity to the outside and far away from our router, I recently added the WAVLINK Outdoor Wi-Fi Range Extender to my setup, and it almost was everything we needed. First and foremost, the range extender's high-power capability is impressive. It extends my Wi-Fi coverage to cover the back park area of our church, but it was just outside of the 5G bandwidth that we needed. We were trying to utilize NDI video as well as livestreaming at Hi-Def 1080 p. If we were only trying to connect the cams and didn’t need to up stream at 10M, this one would have been enough. But we were needing to upload with that bandwidth. The power of Ethernet made it possible to move this device far from a wired setup, and only had the Ethernet cable to connect. Having power as part of the hardwiring network connection made this extender much more capable than ordinary extenders. The dual-band functionality is great. With both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. The 2.4GHz band offers extended range and better coverage, while the 5GHz band provides faster speeds –just not enough for the distance involved and the amount of date being used on the local network. Weatherproofing is a standout feature of this Wi-Fi extender. Rain or shine, I never have to worry about its durability or performance. It can withstand the elements, ensuring uninterrupted connectivity even during inclement weather. Setting up the range extender was surprisingly straightforward. The user-friendly interface and clear instructions made the installation process hassle-free. In no time, I had a stable and reliable outdoor Wi-Fi network. Due to the fact that this model was a lower bandwidth version of its big brother – we decided to move up to the 1200AC version. While this is rated for outside, and the fact that we had hardwired upload capabilities inside, we moved this version to the sanctuary and installed it so that the 5G signal would be line-of-site no matter what. With that set-up, we now have an internal Wi-Fi video NDI streaming network inside. I have never before seen such smooth video coming into our main computer. In conclusion, the WAVLINK Outdoor Wi-Fi Range Extender AC600 is a great addition for anyone looking to extend their Wi-Fi coverage to outdoor spaces. Its high power, (but is on the lower end of bandwidth) dual-band capability, weatherproof design, and versatile operation modes make it an ideal solution for seamless connectivity beyond the boundaries of your home. This extender delivers top-notch performance and reliability. Embrace limitless connectivity with the WAVLINK Outdoor Wi-Fi Range Extender and enjoy a whole new level of outdoor internet access!

This is for the AC600. Dies in less then a month. I've gone through 2 in 2 months.
It worked initially for about 1-2 weeks. Then it starts to cut out. I tried reseting and once it starts to flake out, you can't even get back into the configuration web page anylonger. The wifi will connect to the default name, but can no longer connect to the default address. While it worked, it seemed like a strong signal. When I say 'flaking out' I mean that it starts to just blip on and off randomly every 30 seconds or so, most often refusing connection. I'm now replacing it with AC1200 to see how that goes. Seems like a better configuration page and stronger signal at least. Update 9/11/2024: The AC1200 was stronger and more stable, and lasted longer, but eventually flaked out the same way. I went through 3 (the longest lasting 11 months) before giving up and upgrading to the AC1800, which is much more robust and with lightning protection grounds. It's been 4 months thus far with not a single glitch. The Wavlink company gives wonderful support, for questions, returns, and even upgrades.

Seems decent
If your house is across the street made of 1970s steel it will at best get 2 bars i have the adapter hanging off the open front door just to get a good signal. However im forced to use it as a indoor setup I probably just need to turn it so it faces out the windows not across the window

Exactly what I needed.
This unit takes a weak wifi signal and boosts it. Keep in mind if you have a really weak signal to the unit it will not have very good bandwidth. Best to back this thing a bit closer to the router and then let the new unit send out the signal. I used this one to extend the signal for my ring cameras. Problem solved. Works great.

Boost your signal over your whole yard.
Needed to bump up my WiFi signal so my cameras would work at my workshop, that is just on the edge of my old WiFi router range. It was very easy to install with a choice of brackets, wall or pole mounting. Took all of fifteen minutes to mount, plug in and set up. Signal is very strong and the range is huge. Has been reliable for several months now and hopefully will stay that way.

Excellent extender, but didn't last long
Third edit:down to 3 stars. I have now had two devices get fried by lighting. The lighting was not close by! Both devices replaced under warranty. So that is good, but it should not be so suseptible to lighting. Other wifi (different manufacturer) devices in the area survive without harm from same lightning. I asked about grounding the device and they sent a ridiculous youtube video showing installing and connecting the device directly to a grounding rod. I was hoping to see how to connect to the closest electrical outlet ground. I now Unplug the device when not in use our a storm is passing thru. Second edit:back to 5 stars, device quickly replaced by company under warranty. Edit: the extender no longer picks up the wifi signal. I have placed the device close to the source and still will not connect. Diem headed from 5 starts to 1 because of failure after only 40 days. Gives me 9Mb at my boat that is over 700' from the Boathouse. Stable connection! 9Mb does not sound like much but it is good enough to stream (not sure of the isp connection speed at the boat house) .
