Very sturdy and works well
I have used this to plant 100 daffodil bulbs so far (200 to go). I’m impressed by how well made it is. Heavy duty. It works well but I’m planting the bulbs in newly planted grass. For the most part, the tool is not going all the way into the ground just by stepping onto it due to straw and roots. But with some pressure and rotation, it gets through and I can bring up a plug in a minute or so. Definitely saves time.

Weasel bulb planting tool.
Easy, efficient, way to create bulb planting holes. Tool can also be used to increase size of initial hole. We used it to plant 4-6 diameter amaryllis bulbs we had grown indoors. Buy this tool if you plant bulbs. Amazingly fast with one person digging holes and second person planting bulbs.

Great bulb planter
I really like this planter. I had 80 bulbs to plant and this was a great time saver. Also bending over planting can be hard on your back, this saved my back for sure. Creates the perfect sized hole with the perfect depth. If your planting multiple items in one area, make the first hole plant move to the second and you can easily use the material pushed out from the second hole to fill the first. It's a great time saver. Super sturdy and easily to handle.

You have difficulty planting bulbs? Get this!
I almost want to cry i havent got this till now! This is one of the best tools I have purchased this year. I have super dense dirt and clay that causes planting bulbs strenuous. I have been using my hand bulb planter for years and even tried a bulb drill bit. My dirt bent both. This is a game changer. It not only glides into the dirt like butta' but is easier on the back. My only one issue is if your dirty is wet (muddy) it can get stuck in the cylinder. I had to hose it out, and it dislodged easy enough. Once you press into the dirt the old dirt pushes out, making the perfect plug for the previous bulb. Honestly I think this may even be useful to plant my seedlings come spring, cant wait to find out!

cuts clean holes even thru frozen soil
We planted our bulbs late this year and garden boxes had a frozen layer of soil on top. Hand bulb planter would not go thru frozen layer so we bought the weasel. It very successfully went thru the frozen 1 or 2 inch layer with modest leg pressure and gave clean 5-6 inch holes for the bulbs. Successive holes pushed out a clean plug that was placed in previous bulb hole. Was a pleasure doing it all from a standing position, not kneeling. For the 200 bulbs it was well worth the price. Seems to be a sturdy piece of equipment.

Pretty good
I got this to plant our spring bulbs before it got too cold. Does work for what it's supposed to be used for. Seems sturdy and well made. The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is that it was not great at getting as deep as I needed it but we have terribly compacted ground with a lot of rocks so I think not everyone would experience that as we did.

Strange new tool worked great
I'd never planted bulbs before. I bought more than a hundred to start a line of narcissus along my back boundary. I started planting a number of them before this tool arrived. This tool offered a much easier option for planting them. It was a lot easier than getting down on hands and knees and excavating a hole with a trowel or similar tool. I knew my soil was pretty "clean" and this tool just pulled full plugs up effortlessly. All the plugs were the full length of the tool - about 6", I think. I still had to do some hands and knees work, but far less than previously. I have other areas of my yard where there are a lot of roots just below the surface, because I'd just cleared them a year or two ago. Now that I have a feel for the tool, I'm hoping that it will be effective to use in those areas, too, at least where the roots are not that large. It may take a little longer, but I expect it will still save me time. I'm very glad I bought this.

Back Saver
If you’re looking to do any serious planting, this is a tool worth investing in. Not cheap, but a sturdy design that’s nicely constructed.Bought to plant a couple hundred Pachysandra, this garden tool let us put in over 150 plants in a couple hours. Saved us from bending over hundreds of times, which was appreciated. The hole it creates is especially suited to bulb planting, and as such was slightly smaller than we was ideal for what we needed.
