Works perfectly with the MacBook Pro M1 Max and also OBS.
Best 1080 60FPS HDMI capture interface for any Apple Silicon Mac.I’ve been using this with the MacBook Pro M1 Max and Mac Mini M1 for recording 1080 60FPS gameplay from a PS5 and Series X and it’s perfect. You can of course record via the Blackmagic capture software or via a compatible NLE, such as DaVinci Resolve. However, it also works perfectly as a capture source for OBS Studio. This is the highest possible quality HDMI input for any Apple Silicon Mac and can also record completely uncompressed. If you want the best and most reliable up to 1080 60FPS HDMI capture input for your Apple Silicon Mac for recording gameplay or the HDMI output from a camera or other HDMI devices, this is what you need. You can of course buy much cheaper UVC type capture devices, however, they do not compare in picture quality or reliability to the Ultrastudio Recorder 3G.

Ideal for capturing video and still grabs from hdmi
It works great for capturing video and still frame grabs from an hdmi source. It would be even better if there was a suitable Thunderbolt 3/4 cable included as you cannot use this without a suitable cable. For what I need the Blackmagic Media Express software works efficiently and gives a lot of flexibility for naming captured clips and stills as week as a choice of video formats to capture to.

Works well but don't forget you need a thunderbolt cable
Bought to allow me to capture and stream a sports event using a HDMI camcorder. Has the bonus of also supporting SDI which allow the camera to be much further away if you also get an HDMI to SDI converter.Worked well, but I forgot to order a Thunderbolt cable at the same time and you need one as it is not included.
