Every Day Is a Poem: Find Clarity, Feel Relief, and See Beauty in Every Moment Review: Wonderful Read; Inspires Introspection and Self Reflection - I read this book because I was looking for some supplementary content to help me read, understand, and gain a greater appreciation for poetry in general. I actually borrowed this title from my local library and ended up liking it so much that I bought a copy from desertcart so that I can always have the option of re-reading parts of it as needed (like a vitamin boost for mental health!). What I found was that this book isn’t about the mechanics or structure of poetry. Instead it’s a well written guide on how to experience awe in every day life. The book kind of takes you on a tour of how to think about how you feel about things… Snippets of the author’s poetry are interspersed throught out. Also, there are a few workbook style pages to fill out. It’s a quick, easy read. Would make a great gift for someone who needs a rainy day pick-me-up! Review: Best Book on Writing Poetry - I have read many books on writing poetry, as well as taking courses in the university setting and online. This book is the best resource for the practicing poet and the lover of poetry. I have used it to mentor poets at all levels of experience by using the book as a reference to guide the process. I have often returned to the work as a refresher or reenergizer for my poetry writing, finding the chapters and included poems as great poetry prompts themselves. Well worth the price and the time spent in its company.

Required reading for life!!!!
A must read for anyone who is searching for creative expression! Don’t limit yourself to poetry when reading this book. It’s so much bigger than that. It’s how to approach life with open heart, mind, eyes and ears- with your entire being. A treasure! A gift! A must have !

Write for you to help see and others. Suskin did her job.
This book teaches you to write with feeling, and emotion, to find a meaning in your story or a place in time. Honestly it's really to find the awe in anything, good or bad, to find the beauty of situations in words and document as the past, it can make you look back and grandeur the style or mood at the time. Impressive of the mind, the words, the rhymes, even a image for that time. That's why everyday is a poem or a song, I don't draw from every structure, technique or format. I observe to listen, her tradition and flip the basics to understand what works from position. Take poetry as therapy, to share and discuss individually, some poems are for others are intentional. Just to keep their strength, like the consistence for me to creatively document. This book has taught me to use my ability in multitude of peripherals or perspectives. Used to relate for others, for me self understanding/ my true patience. I don't write just to rhyme,it has pushed me to journal out my mind. At this time my left arm is in a cast, I use to write cursive poems in journal, I switched to my right hand to write words of print just to learn to ease my talent in journal. To build my gift all over, to not limit myself in a physical limitation. Look at Stephen hawkings.

A daily gift to myself and lovers of creativity
After buying this book for myself, I gifted it to three of my dear friends. We are lovers of creativity, being present in life, and (sometimes) wrapping words around our experiences. Jacqueline's book is a delicious blend of her beautiful poetry and her magnificent instruction on living life well. There are excellent exercises and many resources to refresh and bring you alive, again and again. I highly recommend this book.

At first I thought this book was just about poems to read but was very impressed with the chapters of outlining themes for ideas with the author's poems for examples and exercises for writing own poems. There is also list of resources for further reading and research for poetry. The poet has thoroughly gone through the process in producing all rounder poem manual for both amateur and professional poets.
