LEGO 75280 Star Wars TM 501st Legion Clone Troopers

For a while after it launched this set was very hard to get, constantly sold out everywhere. I can see why. For the price of 25 GBP your get a very good quantity (6!) and selection of figures and four these are of the very popular 501st clone legion type. While one is a very cool trooper with a jet pack. Moreover the set includes a walker, the type of clone-kit every Star Wars fan appreciates and that you can never have enough of. And it also comes a slightly less exciting speeder bike. The built built of this 285 piece set was not demanding. It took my very experienced 7-year old chief imperial engineer less than 45 mins to put everything together. Without any interference from my side, with the exception of the few somewhat tricky stickers Given the limited scale of the set, it does not include many sometimes more intricate Technic elements nor any advanced building techniques. As always with Lego, the set is great for building, display and as certainly is the case with our Star Wars Lego sets; they are super great for play. Our son can spend hours playing with his Star wars Lego’s. I envy him for that; I played a lot with Star Wars at his age but there wasn’t Lego Star Wars, that is simply great given the scale and the variety of vehicles and playsets. The scarcity of the set is an indication that Lego should release a few Clone Wars-based sets every year. The current generation of children will watch the excellent series over and again on Disney+. And of course they will want to replay big battles. For that they need clones, battle droids and a few jedi heroes and equipment. We added non-official clones and battle droids to our armies, a cheap and somewhat satisfying way to increase the ranks. But admittedly the quality of these figures if far less than the official Lego material. Which in fact makes me appreciate a set like this, with a good selection of clones, even more.

When I first saw this set for the 501st clone troopers, I was instantly impressed and brought the set. I enjoyed building the figures ( which the 501st look great and printed detail looks perfect) and the vehicles. However, I found it tricky to apply the stickers to best of my care, but still the stickers looked great on the vehicles. The instructions are good and easy to follow in building this set. Overall, this a fine Lego set for any Star Wars fans and fans of The Clone wars series and definitely a worth a addition for any lego collection. Also if you have a small plastic or small box to keep any spare parts is also a recommendation.

Decent set for mifigures model overall is okay could use large mounted gun print quality on figures could be improved but that's down tk lego decent build and great speeder

I bought this for my 11 year old son after he worked really hard all year at school. He's a huge Star Wars fan and asked for this set, and as is usually the case with Lego, it was a hit. He assembled it no problem, and because it's Lego, it has the usual dependable quality parts. As Obi Wan would say, "Good job".
