I got this light to help combat my Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). I did a lot of research before choosing this one and picked it for the type of bulb, light output, and NO ions (I read that these may be harmful.) It is very easy to use and VERY BRIGHT! I turn it on in the bathroom as I get ready in the morning- it's like having the sun on my bathroom counter. I haven't had it long enough to determine if it works, but I do generally feel better and have more energy in the afternoon/evening when I usually start to slump. It is marketed as "travel size." I don't know who decided that was an appropriate label- it is a rather large appliance. It would take up most of your space in a carry on.

This light is great, I use it every morning. I'm not sure if it affects my mood, but it is bright and helps me see the keyboard I use on my laptop. It's a little larger than I thought it would be, and the button to turn it on or off is a little hard to press, but all in all it's a wonderful light.

Excellent choice for SAD lamps. Perfect for use as additional ambient light in a dark-ish NYC apartment. Sunlight Bright provides Day-Light on a warm (yellow) side of color spectrum. LED lamp saves energy. The Size X Brightness ration of this lamp is perfect for small apartments. More expensive models of this line-up are way brighter and much bigger in size. After comparing Carex with other brands, we found it to be way better in quality of light and built than all other competitors, bar Northern Lights Technologies. Both are excellent as they are expensive. Carex Light Therapy is the closest thing to a hug ))

UPDATE: I've tried to solve the problem with the support team from this company's website. Unfortunately, they are not responding to my case. I'm afraid this product has been a waste of money :( I would not recommend you spend your money on this, like I did! Try to look for a product from a different company. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I liked the product quite a bit! It emitted a good amount of light, and was a great lamp to use for my early morning work. Unfortunately, after about 6 weeks of use, it no longer turns on. I used this lamp for only about 1 hour per day, 5 days per week. So, I'm very disappointed that I spent money on this product!!

It's very bright. Size is larger than I expected but easily portable. It's about the size of a small box of cereal. My biggest issue / concern is how hot the unit gets after even short use.

Works great and is good to use for starting seed growth.

So much to like & value from this light box. At the time change I noticed I was struggling to adapt. So sluggish & no joy. Was changing to a 4am wake time.....uggg. After 2 days, I noticed a difference.... Huge!! Mood, energy & sleep all improved. I was so shocked & then regretful that I hadn't tried earlier in time of struggle. Buy it & light up your days.

This SAD box gets extremely hot to the touch after only a few minutes. Be careful with this if you operate it around the elderly or children. They really need to fix that.
