I bought this to go with a larger set of unpolished rocks and minerals I'd purchased. Together, they make an excellent collection. We were surprised and very pleased to find arrowheads in this set. The rocks and minerals are a good size and having them polished really emphasizes some of the beautiful qualities of them. The display case is not very attractive but it is adequate. It comes with a chart showing names and photos of the samples and has a few interesting facts about each one on the back. This is a nice supplemental collection at a reasonable price. I recommend it.

I grew up collecting rocks and still love them, so when my 5-year-old expressed interest I bought this little set for her. Each stone was very nice and was easy to identify to the picture that came along. It was lots of fun to match them in the box in the same order as the accompanying picture guide. Great starter set and a perfect gift for young school aged kids!

Great rock kit with cute little box to store the rocks in. My grandson is hooked! The rock samples sent were good ones and he was very pleased.

This is a nice collection. It comes with a card that shows the rocks and their names. Unfortunately, ours arrived with the correct number of rocks, but no amethyst! 2 black rocks and we are not sure which is which. I wrote to the company and they immediately sent me a replacement amethyst. But I still do not know know what the extra black rock is. I wish each of these rocks came in their own small envelope with their names on them. Anyway, good company and my 7 year old grandson takes it to school every day!

Finally, a rock collection with each specimen present and actually identifiable! The rocks are a good size. The packaging kept them safe during shipment. Includes a full color sheet with the images, and a description of each on the back side. I’ve purchased so many disappointing rock sets, until now. It’s a Christmas gift for a young rock collector, so prior to wrapping, I unpacked and arranged the rocks, copied the image and taped it to the box top. The arrowheads seem very fragile, so wrapped them in felt for protection. Best set. Very pleased with it.

This is the second product I have bought from Dancing Bear (first was the Fossil Collection Sorting Activity Kit ), so I was fairly confident that it would be good, and it was! I was looking for some nice gems to put in an advent calendar. This collection has good sized stones (see photos) and was packaged thoughtfully so that they would not get damaged. The information sheet has info tailored just for the stones that are in the collection, and the spaces in the storage box match the organisation of the information sheet, so they can be displayed and everything instantly makes sense.

Bought this for my Grandson’s birthday and my Granddaughter asked for the same one for her birthday a month later. Really nice setup, box for stones, chart with pictures describing stones and quality of stones excellent

Trovo questo kit molto ben fatto. Ottimo per bambini che si avvicinano alla mineralogia. Ho regalato questo kit insieme ad un libro esplicativo che trovate recensito nei miei acquisti a mio figlio di 8 anni. Il kit in sé non ha grandi fogli esplicativi e soprattutto sono in inglese quindi a mio avviso va accompagnato da altra documentazione. I minerali che mi sono arrivati sono integri, la scatola per contenerli è piuttosto solida. I minerali sono sufficientemente grandi per essere maneggiato da un bambino. Lo trovo un ottimo compromesso per iniziare ad esplorare il mondo delle rocce e dei minerali. Spero che la recensione ti sia stata utile 😊
