If you're thinking about changing the battery, it is not easy but it is still cheaper than a new surface. Works great

Exactly the right part, installed well mated with connectors, has charged discharged charged multiple times and has held charge well and performed well over the last 30 days. Hoping that it continues this performance lasting as long as the oem battery lasted. (~6 yrs or so)

Battery stopped holding charge exactly 30 days from install. I have a feeling battery has sat on a shelf for sometime and sold anyway, good or not.

This was easy to fit into my surface book pro and the battery works.

I buy it to replace my keyboard on my Microsoft notebook but I am still way before sending it to the repairer.

The keyboard battery on my Surface had failed, reducing the runtime to about 20 minutes using only the screen battery. This battery was a perfect fit for the OEM battery I was replacing and initially performed very well, giving me over 3 hours of runtime. Unfortunately, the battery only lasted about two months...the Surface now sees it as installed, but it is at 0% and never enters a "charging" state.

New, excellent professional packaging, and surprise, it came with tools. As soon as I installed it, I just couldn't believe it would fix everything that was wrong with my Surface Book2. After I installed it and turned it on, it worked perfectly. The battery life is now like - endless. When I first started out with a not-working computer, the wretchedly confusing thing was that I kept reading about it having two batteries, and I couldn't tell, no matter how much I read, which was which. They call this battery a "keyboard battery," which didn't sound promising. I finally stumbled across information that said that the two batteries, one inside the top, and one inside the keyboard part, feed each other. Knowing that, I took a chance and ordered this. This is EASY to install. The seriously difficult part is, of all things, glue. They don't use tiny screws anymore. They glue these surface books together. unbelievable. You need a blow dryer or a heat gun to melt the glue around the edges so you can get the back off. Watch the Youtube video. After you get the thing open, it's so easy you'll wonder, like I did, if this can actually work. Just remember that "keyboard battery" is not the entire picture. This battery works together with the one inside the upper, monitor part of the computer. You do NOT want to deal with taking that glass monitor part off and replacing that battery. I was delighted that it worked, also with the delivery, the company's professional handling, and their description here on Amazon, which told me that this was the one to buy.
