This thing is amazing. The broken english instructions and box are flimsy and give you the idea this is a cheap chinese product. It could be, but honestly how hard is it to make a durable plastic box with a heating element in the bottom? The heater gets hot enough that I actually lightly toasted bread on it once. If I left it longer I suppose it could have toasted all the way. The food comes out hot, but not so hot that you can't eat it. Imagine food right out of the oven and it's been sitting for a couple minutes, that's how hot it is. Almost to the point where you can't eat it because it's too hot but you still can. I let the food sit in it for longer than the recommended time and that's how hot it got. The metal bowl that comes inside is extremely easy to clean. Nothing has stuck to it, everything just rolls off. I have put oatmeal and peanut butter in here and it's come off with just water. The bowl is also really large. This is about the size of a kids lunchbox but a bit longer on one side and shorter on the other. But imagine if you filled your kid's metal lunchbox with macaroni and cheese, like totally filled it up. You would have a ton of food wouldn't you? That's how much it can hold so basically you have 2 or 3 full meals worth of space in here that you can heat up. In fact you could buy a few of these and use them as buffet serving stations at your next party. The lid is difficult to put on, but on the other hand that is a good sign. I feel very confident it will not come off in transport. It has never given me a problem nor has it leaked. When the lid is on there it is super tight. I'd get it even if I wasn't using it for work because imagine you needed to bring something you cooked to a friend's house and keep it warm in your car. It's big enough to hold a ton of food, it's basically a small casserole dish. And it wouldn't spill because of the strong lid.

Never thought how useful this device would be and especially during a pandemic when all kitchen areas are closed off in our work office due to COVID-19 restrictions. I was having cold lunches and dinners at work until I made this purchase. It heats up anything nice and slowly and actually softens anything hard like cake or bread because it's completely sealed all around. It takes about 1 to 2 hours to completely heat up your food depending on what food you have so make sure you start this and give it a couple of hours before you plan to eat. It does not smoke or steam up so there are no worries about setting off any alarms in your office building. The other beautiful thing about this device is that it comes with another plug for your car and plugs into your cigarette lighter socket. You can use this while traveling in your car or at the office without any need for a microwave or an oven. In addition, this will work on a 120 or 220V and it has 2 handles around the unit that will easily unsnap so you can easily carry this device. Lastly, this model comes with a heavy-duty metal fork and a spoon and a holder built into the unit and has a cover that snaps in place to protect them for moving or falling out. I am extremely pleased with this and have been using this at my work office for the past month while the pandemic is still happening. I will continue to use even after the kitchen eventually opens because I do like microwave food. Well worth the purchase.

This is a great lunch box for the times we are in! Works great to heat up food, notice I said HEAT, not just warm! It keeps me away from the communal office kitchen which is very important for me during this COVID-19 uncertain times. I don't have to wait "my turn" at the microwave, I just plug it right up in my office and it works great. The cleanup is easy too, I take out the inner container and lid portion, wash and dry them, wipe down the outer area and it's good to go. I prep my meals the night before and stick the whole thing in the fridge ready for the next day. Worth the money spent! Heating up meals varies on quantity and what is being warmed, you just have to keep an eye on it.

Got this for husband to take lunch at work after the company only provides cold sandwiches for lunch while microwave oven was banned to use in the office. I started looking into electronic bento boxes and there are something I have learned: 1. Think about what kind of food you will normally make because it helps you to choose whether to have a tray with compartment or not. If you like to bring one dish dish, then go for the one with only one compartment. If you don’t like to mix different food together, then go with the one with sections. 2. Think about how much of willingness you will have to wait to heat up the lunch. Many needs to spend 30-60 minutes to heat up the lunch. If you don’t have time to plug and turn on the heat before your lunch, don’t waste your money on it. If you have time and electric outlet, this is a good buy. 3. Think about if you want to reheat your food or to cook food in these bento boxes. Two major types of electric boxes I have found, one heats up with a heat plate underneath and the other one uses steam. If you only reheat food, you can go with the heat plate, but you may need to put some water/liquid into you food to prevent drying out(like rice and spaghetti). If you use the steam bento box, it heats up better and you can even cook some fish or vegetables in it, but you need to make sure you have a flat surface to put this on and water available to pour in. You also need to pour the water away after each use. So back to this product, overall it does the job to reheat the food. However, since he likes to eat rice and it comes out drier and some may stick on the bottom of the pan. So he needs to pour some water into the rice before reheating it. When some of the rice stocked on the bottom, the best way to clean was soak it for a while before washing it. This bento box takes about 40-60 minutes to reheat the food that are from the refrigerator.

Bought it as a gift for my brother in law he loved it and used it for work as he worked on the road and no option to heat food. This was perfect as he could warm his food in his car/work van.

It's a very very handy product. We were on the road with our 2 year old and it was great to heat up his food. Just make sure to add a splash on water before turning it on. It does take 30-40 mins to heat up but you can't beat a warm meal on the go! Life saver :) It's great quality and simple to use. Love it
