Fabric Water Shield, 1 Can x 400ml - Water Repellent Spray for Clothing and Household Upholstery Items, Long-Lasting

I bought this Scotchgard waterproofing spray to use on my shoes and jackets. I can say it works exceptionally well. One of my walking shoes developed a leakage though no holes was visible. I sprayed the Scotchgard deliberately, let it dry, then sprayed again. The shoes don't let water in anymore. I used it also on a couple of jackets. I was pleased there was no streaks left on the clothes and the waterproofing was very good. The spray does have a strong chemical smell so you need to use it in a well-aired place. Outside or on the balcony is fine. I think it's quite expensive at £10 a bottle. However, it definitely works well. Hope it helps.

We purchased this after ordering a sofa from DFS. We were offered scotch guard coating for somewhere in region of £50-100. However, after doing some research, it turns out that they may not be very precise with their application. Hence we decided to do it ourselves. I purchased 4 tins to do 2x 3 seater sofas twice. It took around 48hours to completely cover all surfaces of the sofas and cushions twice with drying time. This was during the winter. The smell was extremely strong and I had to keep the room well ventilated. The smell still lingers a little 6 months later. I had severe morning sickness and couldn't go into the front room for 4-months due to the smell! The product didn't discolour the sofas or leave a residue. The sofas are mostly covered with throws as we have dogs but the exposed parts I have accidentally splashed water onto and it does bead up rather than soak in. I see this more as protection against splashes etc rather than a way to prevent a large volume of liquid penetrating the fabric. I am not planning to repeat the process until I am no longer pregnant and I can leave the doors/windows open.

An excellent product purchased to spray and protect blinds hung near the dining table in the kitchen. It does smell on application so we used it in the evening before bedtime, closed the doors and kept the dog outside. Hopefully the blinds are protected against any potential splashes

This seems to be fine. I sprayed my light coloured chair in 2 goes as instructions said it was better to have 2 light applications as opposed to 1 heavy one. I can’t say whether it’s effective as I’d have to spill something on my chair! Assuming that it is, as the chair looks no different from when I started ; which is rather good really. I did spray it outside as there are fumes you have to be careful of. All seems to have worked well. I have half a can left and it is recommended that you re-spray again in a year’s time.

Goes on easily but after leaving it to dry for couple hours and giving the item 3coats (drying in between each) dye ran all down my door when it rained. So I now have black streaks on my white front door.

Buen producto anti lluvia para textil y cuero, funciona bastante bien y es incoloro aunque tarda bastante en que se quite el olor del disolvente de la prenda pero despues perfecto. Recomendable.

Tengo algún sofá de terciopelo y lo impregno -después de aspirar y limpiar - con este spray. Por ahora la tela no tiene ninguna mancha aunque se me hayan caído comestibles y vino encima. Me encanta

Hace su función correctamente y no mancha el tejido.

Lo he utilizado para las botas aunque ponga que es un producto para el sofá y el resultado maravilloso!
