UPDATE2: For an actual review, this battery has proven to be useful, despite it being thicker than majority of other slim chargers it's not as long as them, allowed easier to put in pockets and some bags without it sticking out as much. A better type of indicator during usage would be useful to see how much battery you have left to charge, but its okay as it is.UPDATE: Aukey says that the 4000mAh is a result of the battery manufacturer labelling the battery incorrectly, that that it does indeed have 5000mAhThe battery claims to have a capacity of 5000mAh, but if you unscrew either end of the container off, the battery inside reads to have 4000mAh capacity, so how can there be 1000 more mAh than what the battery is made to have? False claims from Aukey regarding battery capacity.

worked well the first time I was super impressed with how quickly it charged my nexus 6p, but come the 2nd time around and every time after I tried to use it, it literally will take 10 minutes for me to gain 1 percent of battery. RETURNING!

Heavy, and that is a VERY good thing when it comes to Lithium Batteries inside the Anodized billet Aluminium Case. Lightweight batteries are fake and usually contain a tiny battery inside the case with powder to weigh them down, but this is 99% battery by weight. It holds a Huge charge and will keep you charged for many hours. I use this on my iPhone SE since i use high battery demand apps. Fits perfectly in the purse and is about the size of a medium mace bottle.Aukey has added a charge level indicator at the plug in so you can check its level. Red for under 30%, Green for 30% to 70% and 70% to 100% charge is Blue.Be aware they are shipped with about 50% charge, so be sure to charge them fully before first use.This Exceeded every expectation I had for durability and performance.That being said, There are reviewers accusing this bank of being misleading. I can assure that there must have been an update to it. The lithium cell inside is a 26650 Lithium Battery, instead of the 18650 which could have been its older model. This holds all of 5,000mAh of charge, and the battery, On the Electronics side, without the Circuit board, this cell can push up to 50Amps output. That means this battery is built like a tank, and is a premium battery, far exceeding any 18650 capacity. The PCB is neatly made and soldered with a Bridge rectifier and a Micro charging controller with a current limiter and lots of protection against over charging and over discharging.

Only lasted 2 charges now the usb port is loose and doesn't work well at all. Consider it a waste of your money

I have purchased 3 of these now and they work great. (Yes 3, what can I say I'm a guy. You should see my flashlight collection!) Compact and portable these little puppies charge my phone very quickly and face it, they look great. I recommend these if you want something small for you purse or "man bag". Only being 5000mAh don't expect to get more than 2 to 2 1/2 charges out of a Samsung phone but they are great for in between power sources.

This charger didn't live up to my expectations at all. Based on it's description, it should have been able to charge my phone 4 or 5 times on a single charge. But in practice it barely was able to charge it even once.This charger quickly became a useless piece of junk, because it took a long time to charge but was not very effective in charging my phone or other devices.I also purchased a black version of the same charger. It was even worse than this one because some internal connection broke soon after I bought it, causing it to not be able to charge my phone at all (however I could still charge the charger itself). Just junk.

Got for my wife for Christmas a year ago, only lasted about 5 months before it no longer worked. The front ring also came loose- allows it to come apart. Got it on a Christmas deal so not too bad but this is the second Aukey pack that failed for us.

I absolutely love this charger! My instruction manual with the tiniest print ever, said to charge until the light turns blue. I've charged this using my phone charger, the original cord it came with attached to my laptop (trickle charge), and an Amazon Basics charger. They all work on this charger. One night, I accidentally forgot to disconnect the charger and it charged overnight. It didn't seem to weaken the charger. The only drawback is that once the charge is drained, it takes about 4 hours to get to blue. From blue, this charges my phone (Samsung Galaxy S4) twice before it completely drains. Even though this is not lipstick-sized, it's still a great size to throw in my purse or laptop bag. I bought my mom the gold one, and she reports the same usage.
