I have been reading what to do about the problem of short drives everywhere I go. Regular oil needs to heat up to work best, which amounts to maybe 30 minutes drives. I only get this much driving time on some weekends. I found out that the properties of this synthetic oil do not require the heat cycle and will start protecting the metal parts much better for the short drives I make. This oil also does not break down like a real oil so it does not need to be changed as often. So here is what I decided to do: I will change the oil filter every 3 months and the oil every 6 months. My car has the oil filter on top of the engine so it makes it possible to change the filter without loosing the oil. This regiment is still much more often than necessary but I like to err on the side of caution. I set up for automatic delivery of both the oil filter and this oil and forget about it until it shows up on my doorstep.

My vehicle takes 6 quarts so it is very nice to be offered a 6 quart bundle price.
