WORK WELL

I needed my patio pond that was full of green water to be clear for an event. I didn't want to harm my plants or fish by using chemicals. I split the feed off my pump and only ran half of it thru this filter sock full of pool filter medium that looks like cotton balls as they have a small enough micron to actually capture the single cell algae that causes green water. Even without the proper housing, the water was cleared up the next morning. When it gets too full of gunk to be useful, just empty it all out onto a window screen and spray them all off with a hose. Will not fix the underlying issues that are causing green water (too many nutrients), but worked fantastically in a pinch!

I use these on the nutrient solution return lines that drain into my nutrient solution tanks in my greenhouse. I couldn't have more filters but the added improvement i get from using these is more than significant. The draw string makes them fairly easy to use (the material is rather stiff and the opening is much larger than my tubing.) as I tighten them around the 3/4" vinyl and 1/2" PVC tubing I use for return lines. I no longer battle continually with clogged emitters. After a couple of months on the job I toss them. It is amazing how well these bags work for me considering that they are not made for this use. Talk about bang for the buck. I could go on and on but I think that you get that I'm happy with them. Now Aquatic Expert people, just one thing. How 'bout a size that is easier to fasten around the tubing? Same size and style, just a smaller draw string opening. What, do I have to think of everything?

Will use as a pre-filter for a water purification setup with a 4" ceramic filter. Will update if issues.

More filtración

I'm using a 350 gallon repurposed hot tub for large Bream fish with a 2 submergible pumps one of the submergible's goes through a TetraPond Pressure Filter before exiting back into the tub, after installing these filter bags the backflow was shooting up through the top of the bags and I was losing 5% of the flow onto the concrete floor, it would have been a disaster if I we're gone because of a emergency, the tub would have been empty, so I'm going to have to rethink the overflow issue, What I desire would be a much longer filter bag that would hold a much larger capacity, I saw one on a YouTube channel but apparently this manufacture doesn't have anything like that, Outside of that issue the filters does a very good job clearing up the murky looking water, hopefully when the water is crystal clean my frequent sock changing will diminish, but I still would like to have a 4" x 36" filter bag.

I purchased this for a hydroponic grow tower as the instructions said the water pump needed one. Didn’t have any in the box so I bought these. Too large and too thick. You can’t pull the drawstring to get enough to keep debris from getting in the bag. Not appropriate for my situation.
