Caran d'Ache Ecridor Ballpoint Pen, Palladium-Coated Chevron Design (890.286)

Replaced one that I lost. Better than I remember the original I owned.

Pen is what I expected and the service was prompt.

Rhodium looks like clean silver. It's a whiter color than cheap chrome plating.I have an older Ecridor model and a new one from Amazon. Both say they are plated with rhodium. Unfortunately, while the older unit looks like exactly that, the new one is darker and doesn't look much different from any cheap chrome plating. I will upload a picture (if amazon is in the mood to let users upload pictures at the moment).

I own an original Ecridor and the retro does indeed look a lot like the original item. The most noticeable difference is in the clip which in the original was bowed with a creased arm, engraved on the arm are CARAN D'ACHE and FABRICATION SUISSE. The retro has the firm's symbol engraved just above the point where the clip is attached to the pen's body. Instead of the Chevron the original has a highly ergonomic criss-cross pattern that is like the one found on dentist's tools.A tip: instead of Caran d' Ache branded refills you can use Parker Quink refills and get the same action.
