Great for BBS basketweaves!
My '95 Miata M Edition is equipped with factory 15" BBS "basketweave" wheels. Other wheel cleaners get them "sorta" clean, but brake dust and dirt linger in the cracks and crevices. In addition most acidic cleaners can leave a white residue on the clearcoated aluminum outer rims that needs to be polished out. The result? It takes the better part of an HOUR just to get the wheels clean... and that's on a car that gets driven three or four days per week and lives in the garage otherwise. Enter Car Guys. Yes, this stuff is spendy. And no, it's not perfect (more on that later). But it Just. Plain. Works. Application is easy. Car Guys has a thick gel consistency that stays where you spray it. Just spray the wheel with the cleaner, let it sit five minutes and agitate with a soft brush (I use a long wheel brush for the inside face of the spokes and a big soft handled brush for the wheel face). Rinse thoroughly. For stubborn stains or heavy buildup agitate the offending area again and rinse. To stop any water spots I blast the wheels with compressed air after washing to dry them off. Since Car Guys is a gel, it really sticks to the wheels. That leads to the main challenge, which is getting it ALL off the wheels. You can't just hit the wheels with a low-pressure stream of water and expect it to come off easily. A high -pressure nozzle on a garden hose just about does it, but a pressure washer does a better job. My wheels look better than they have since I've owned my car. It takes less time to get them looking good. And getting every bit of dirt and brake dust off means that subsequent cleanings are quicker and they look better between cleanings. That makes Car Guys a winner in my book. The pictures attached are of my 26-year-old wheels after cleaning today. They really do look that good! Update... I bought this stuff back in May. It gets used every two weeks on my Miata (my daily driver has easy-to-clean wheels so I save the good stuff for the BBS wheels). I'm just now ordering another bottle. When the manufacturer says you don't need a lot they really mean it. A little goes a long way, and it still does a great job on my wheels without attacking or otherwise damaging either the painted or clearcoated sections. Great stuff!

The Best Wheel Cleaner I've Ever Used
This product really works! Spray it on the wheel, let it soak into the dirt and grime for 3-5 minutes, take a wheel cleaning brush and scrub the wheel, rince with hose, scrub any challenging places missed on the first scrub, rinse again, and dry wheel. My wheels never looked so good! Finish with Tire Shine by Car Guys on the rubber. A perfect combo!

Not a good product for Chrome Wheels.
Update: I am editing my review because the company has reached out to me and stood behind there product which I respect. They have offered me a refund for the product not working. Like I said this product may work great for other kinds of wheels but I just couldn’t seem to get a good result for my chrome wheels. So I bought this product thinking there was no chance it could not be good. High ratings with a ton of good reviews. I followed the directions for this product exactly as it said on the package. I left it on for about 5 minutes like it said on each wheel then agitated with a clean microfiber towel. I then rinsed thoroughly and dried with another clean microfiber. I began to lose my mind as there seemed to be be either this coating like water spots on my wheels. I should also mention that I have a 2017 Silverado that I’ve only owned for about 8 months and it has been cleaned regularly atleast every 2 weeks even in the winter months. But back to cleaning my wheels. I began to lose mind so much that my now chrome wheels seemed to look worse than they did after just washing them with soap. I went to Autozone and bought the product I had been using since I bought my truck and really liked it but the only reason I stopped was because amazon seemed to stop selling it. I won’t say the brand because it doesn’t matter but with only 15 seconds and some mild agitation with a micro fiber and then hand drying my wheels were back to looking new. I had high hopes for this product and maybe it might work for other types of wheels but I’ll be returning this product or seeking a refund. The pictures I’ve included with the car guys product and then the other brand I used don’t lie. It’s to bad. I had high hopes for this product.

Holy cow, it works!
I bought my car about 5 years and 113,000 miles ago. When I received it, it was detailed to the nines. I'm the kind of guy that uses a car, takes care of the maintenance, but only washes it when it rains for the most part. I had noticed the wheels had gotten a bit dingy over time. I bent one rim for the third time and found it easier to just buy a use done for $150 than pay $160 just to repair an already beaten rim. It arrived and it was shiny! The other three were woefully inadequate compared with this one. I had to do something because it now looked really weird having one nice, shiny rim and three trashy looking ones. I did the online review thing and found one review that rated this one highly. It wasn't the first. It wasn't the second. It was the third, but the pricing was in my budget (about $16 on Amazon). I bought it, tried it out on my bent rim to make sure it wouldn't do any damage. Worked OK, but I did a quick and dirty. The weekend came around, and I did a proper cleaning. The first wheel came out just good. By the time I hit the second, I realized that I could go for a second application and put some elbow grease behind the microfiber towel. Holy crap! This thing looked almost brand new! The only thing is since I neglected the cleaning for so long, some brake dust and maybe metal shaving are now permanently embedded in the clear coat. From a distance, they look great. The bottle I bought handled all four wheels front and back with some to spare. I am VERY pleased with this purchase. These Tire Guys have my vote. In the images: 1) Detail of the crud embedded on the dirty wheel 2) Same area from the first detail 3) New shiny wheel installed on the left, same condition as image 1, 'dirty' wheel on the left 4) New shiny wheel on the left, dingy on the right Put an hour in your driveway into this (with the wheels off the car is much easier), and you'll be pleased with the results.

Works Like Magic, But $$$$
Highly effective wheel cleaner. Dissolves dirt and grime without scrubbing. But it’s very costly $$$ considering the container size.

Great/Easy Product For Making an Old Car and its Old Driver Look Young Again!
As I've gotten older, I've (embarrassingly!) spent less and less time (all my active-adult life I did my own vehicle detailing) maintaining the appearance of my vehicles. Since I am now less physically able to do a thorough job myself, tiring of the expense, as well as the poor job "paid" detailers (even repeat detailers that I've tipped generously) have done, I turned to Amazon, and filtered the "brake dust cleaners" by highest rating. CarGuys products instantly "rose to the top". The very complimentary product reviews, (overlooking the few outliers who possibly are competitors, or who didn't follow CarGuys easy/detailed use instructions) and the numerous 5-star ratings described the product I was looking for. Shortly after placing my order, I received the first email from CarGuys explaining how (and why) they would be packing/shipping their product. This email also included a few usage tips: 1-don't spray this rim cleaner on hot rims!; 2-let it "set" a minimum of 3-5 minutes or longer if the solution won't dry on the rims (for instance on hot, dry days, or if the vehicle is parked in the hot sun); 3-"light" brushing might be needed (in extreme "neglect" cases like mine!); 4-use a soft cloth to dry the rims and eliminate water spots. I followed those simple instructions, and because my rims were so dirty, I also used a soft bristled brush similar to an un-tapered bottle cleaning brush (i.e. the bristles were a uniform 2-1/2" wide from outside-tip-to-outside-tip and the bristled portion of the brush extended 5" from the end-of-handle-to-tip-of-brush). Unlike most rim cleaners I've tried over the years, I didn't have to push hard on the brush, or "scrub" the rim because those products were nothing more than re-labeled kitchen sink soap. Basically, while running cool water from a hose onto the rim, I just used the brush to aid in rinsing off the cleaning gel. I did this just by easily "pulling/pushing" the bristles across the face-part of the rim, between each of the spokes, and then along the inside top portion of the rim (the rim area between the brake disc/rotor where the spokes attach). It was very easy, required very little effort (the hardest part for me was kneeling up/down at each wheel!) and the results were exactly what I was hoping for. The bonus that went along with my clean rims, is that the product is made by USA-ians, and the product contains no harsh chemicals to kill your grass, or pollute the environment. I didn't use much of the rim cleaner on my two vehicles, but when I need more, I will be buying the same product again. Thanks to CarGuys, they made my vehicles look "younger" again, which ultimately reflects on me (in a good way)!

Occasionally products are worth 5 stars!
Is this stuff perfect? No, but 5 stars on Amazon says "I love it" when you hover over it. What would I change? The price since I use so much of it. Otherwise, nothing comes to mind at all. Reviews that say soap is better, that this stuff is just dish soap, etc. are people with an ax to grind. This stuff does exactly what it is supposed to do and if you follow the directions, it does an amazing job. I am using it on 4 vehicles, 2 of which have black wheels, 1 that has gloss gray and cleared milled aluminum, and another with cleared polished aluminum. The first time I used it was with a cheap spray bottle - this stuff needs to an open nozzle or it will not come out right so after that I switched to a hand sprayer (kind with the pump on top of the assembly) to get good coverage. I pretty much do what the instruction say, but the specific order of operations that I do is: 1) wash the entire car except for the wheels - I just blast the wheels with water as I wash the car. 2) spray 2 of the wheels (and sometimes tires) with the cleaner -- first few times I used way too much, so now I go sparingly. 3) let wheels sit for a few minutes 4) wet a wheel woolie and hit the entire wheel and brake caliper -- note if you use a good woolie you can get the inside of the wheel at the same time and the cleaner will make it look new again. 5) spray the living daylights out of the wheel and tire to remove ALL the cleaner. 6) blast the wheels dry with a leaf blower. 7) do the 2 wheels on the other side of the car. Following the above I have had no streaks, white spots, or other unwanted results; I do not use a pressure washer, and I do not use the cleaner on hot wheels. I will also say that the worst wheels had about 50k miles of being cleaned with other wheel cleaners and left unsatisfying every time. The first round with CarGuys and they looked great. The second time, they looked new again. Additionally, one of the vehicles regularly goes off-road, and unlike other cleaners, CarGuys has kept the 'dirt film' from sticking around. Sucks for me that this stuff is not cheaper as I go through it pretty fast with the extra vehicles.
