Great overall camera cover
Saw the reviews about other button-type camera covers cracking macbook pro screens and opted to try this one instead. Snaps in nicely to the magnets in the lid, very flat (can barely tell it's there, lid closes easily without any gaps upon closure), pretty easy to use just by sliding the bar off the camera when using and then back over the camera when not in use. Enjoy the simplicity. Little on the pricier side but I'll take my chances not cracking my screen.

An elegant and subtle camera cover...at a price
I'm not paranoid. I swear. But I've seen too many people make embarrassing and sometimes costly mistakes while thinking nobody was watching them on their webcam, and I want to be sure. Not everything I do in my house is fit for public consumption, ya know? So I've been using a neatly-cut piece of blue painters tape to cover the camera, and it's just ugly. The corner I use to pull it up won't stay down, and it's super-obvious that I have a camera blocker. I don't want that to encourage certain people to start up a conversation about how the government is watching us and using Elon Musk's satellites to control our minds. Nothing wrong with those guy, just not for me. Ya know?So I found this webcam cover on Amazon, saw the price, and thought "this much for a thin piece of metal?" But the reviews were really good, so I grabbed a crowbar, pulled my dusty American Express Aluminum card out, and ordered one.I got it today, and yep. A thin piece of metal with a thin strip of magnet on one side. I could have made one of these in my 9th grade shop class. But it would be big and ugly, and would probably break my screen whenever I closed my Macbook. Sorry, where was I?In fact, it's a perfect accessory. It sticks easily to the integrated magnet at the top of the screen, and holds steadily. It doesn't interfere with the laptop closing, or the magnet holding the Macbook closed. You just use a finger (or toe, if you're into that) to slide the strip of metal sideways to hide or open up your camera. It has an extra hole so that whether the camera is open or covered, it doesn't block the light sensor. It's so nicely done, it feels like something Apple would make themselves if they weren't so pig-headed. [It doesn't matter if the green light shows the camera is on if you aren't looking at the computer at the time, Tim!] Oh, sorry. So yeah, it's pretty expensive for what it is, but it is elegant and works perfectly. Kind of like my Macbook. I guess I'll be getting a second one for my work computer. Definitely don't need a whoopsie there!

Privacy protected without "sticking" anything to screen & computer closes/functions normally.
Privacy protected without "sticking" anything to my screen & my 2020 13" MacBook Pro closes completely with no damage or trouble. I didn't want to have to "stick" something to my brand new computer screen, dreading the inevitable "leftovers" always left behind when it's later removed/replaced. This works perfectly, without "sticking" to the screen. It holds in place very well, and most of the time I forget it's even there because my 2020 13" MacBook Pro closes completely & functions normally (screen dimming/brightening, etc) as if it weren't even there. Very satisfied with this purchase & recommend this product!

Decent
The construction is one long piece of metal with two stickers on the back to smooth it out. It includes a hole on top for the webcam and also for the light sensor.I've used 5+ webcam covers on my MacBook Pro and here's my first impressions in comparison:- ++ It is not going to break/come loose because it is not glued on- ++ My daughter is probably not going to destroy it- ++ It will get stuck in the on or off positions- -- Properly opening or closing it requires two hands and ~4 seconds, compared to one hand and 1 secondSince I paid $20 for this (1/10 the price of Apple's cheapest iDevice) I consider this a premium product and have high expectations.A better design could have hugged the upper lid of the inner MacBook Pro case. Also the size of the bar could be shortened so that it snaps into place as it catches the magnet, perfectly aligning to the camera hole. Lastly, a red sticker could be included so that I may better know if the cover is "open" or "closed".Yes, I understand these first two suggestions would require holding an inventory of multiple EB-PRO-1000s in order to match different magnet alignments and top lid spacings. But actually not really, just cut from the bottom rather than the middle of the metal like this:████████████▀▀▀██▀▀██████████

Sleek look, seamless slide
I had this in my cart for ages before finally buying it for my newer MacBook Pro. Previous camera covers, although thin, still wouldn't allow this laptop to close properly. This is a very sleek fit, blends right in, slides super easily to allow camera access, and again when I want it off. Totally opaque and no show-through when it's "closed." Perfect and well worth it!

Simple, yet very effective. Wont' crack your screen!
Love this camera cover! I've been hunting for a good camera privacy cover for a long time, but pretty much everything out there was too thick for my MacBook Pro and had review after review saying they would crack the MBP screen. It was either that or stickers that would lose their stickiness after a month of heavy use. This cover is super thin and lightweight. It almost literally installs itself by snapping to the built-in magnets in the lid/screen. You can barely tell the cover is there most of the time.Very happy with this purchase and highly recommend purchasing.

Works as Described
Works as described, have been using the sticky cam covers and this magnet version is much better. Takes some effort to get the alignment correct, but once lined up you can forget about it and use normally. Does not, as far as I can tell, interfere with the closing of the kid, and I use a thick screen protector and keyboard protector
