Q: Is this the best choice for shell cordovan?

Renomat can be used on cordovan to remove previously applied polishes or waxes to get a clean surface to start over with. It's strong stuff though so don't drench the leather in it. And don't use it as a general leather cleaner - like saddle soap or Saphir's Leather Cleaner - just use it to remove other leather products. I routinely use it to clean my daubers after conditioning my boots.
