Lenscover Flip-Up Sight - Transparent (Rear)

Nice lens clarity, tight lockup, quality plastic and spring. Fitment is very good.

This is the standard Aimpoint rear lens cap for their Comp and 9000 line. For me, it was the same one that came on my PRO red dot.Picked it up to put on the rear (side closer to shooter) of my Aimpoint 3x magnifier. Fits correctly in place of the standard bumper, and give a little more protection than if I ran it without the cap. If you wanted the one with just the black plastic (not see-through), it would be Aimpoint part number 12224.To get the magnifier completely protected when stored, I use the Scopecoat for the EOTech G33 magnifier. Works with either the rear cap on or off, but keeps the front protected, as well.

Excellent cover. Keeps the "stuff" of the lens. Fits fine on my Comp M2 and Pro sights. One can leave the covers closed on the front and rear of the sight and it can be used that way with both eyes open. Everything just gets super imposed on each other and all you see is mostly is the dot. The reason for the four instead of five is that when leaving the rear cap closed (this product) it does change the position of the dot a little as opposed to having it open. Every small shift in the sight picture will change the point of impact as opposed to leaving the cover open. Parallax of some sort I assume. The best way I can think to describe it is the plastic windows on tents or pop-up campers. When you look through it the image is warped to some degree. That is an exaggeration but just to give a better understanding. Having said that I never experienced more than a 6" shift in point of aim vs point of impact looking through the cover. I noticed this when trying to zero and I forgot to open the rear cap. I was throwing rounds all over (6") @ 50 meters and after a few choice words I thought of selling the whole set up. Then I noticed the rear cap was down and the light bulb came on above my head. I opened the rear cap and was zeroed in 6 rounds. So now I know. I still have this product on on both my Aimpoints but I just keep myself aware that if shooting with the cover(s) on that the point of impact MAY BE 6" in any direction of the dot. Still very functional when shooting with the caps down, at short range, if one found themselves in the position to have to do that. Other than that good stuff.

Aimpoint Quality!Purchased to switch out my Aimpoint Red Dot PRO front cover and it is a perfect fit.You'll need to heat the original front cover with a hair dryer for about 60 seconds to get it off, it's a super tight fit. Then you'll need to heat the transparent cover around the edges for about 60 seconds and then it will go on, it's a tight fit and once your done and it's cooled it is a perfect fit.

Aimpoint lens cover's are excellent. Clear covers let me see my target and keeps my lens clean. I own a Aimpoint comp m4 and this fits perfect on it. No heating and struggling to put this on. True quality item. Will purchase again.

Overall nice and sturdy thing. But I bought it transparent especially for the sake of immediate engagement w\out flip-flop operations. The thing got scratched too soon and looking through it irritates.Knowing this before I wouldn't have spent extra back for transparent cover.

should have bought these earlier. The rubber coat that come with a comp m4 is annoying these stay with the sight and work great.
