These thinning shears are sharp & precise in cleanly cutting through half the volume of an unruly clump of hair. I've tried my hairdresser's professional thinning shears, and these feel just like them -- heavy-duty and high-quality. I have fine hair, but there is a ton of it, very thick. I keep it cut in all-over layers and love to add curl, but the volume weighs everything down. Thinning gives my layers oompf and makes curling a breeze. Ahhh, lightness!

I waited to leave a review until I could try the scissors several times. My early 20s son is a hair factory and we sometimes have to do a maintenance haircut until he can get to his regular shop. This pair was very reasonably priced and had enough positive reviews that I ordered them. They are comfortable to hold and are very sharp, cutting cleanly without tugging. The thinning gauge is perfect for him, it cut enough to thin his mop-top and blended in with the unthinned hair. I am glad I chose this product!

They don’t work great. Its is difficult to cut through my dogs hair. she’s a cavapoo with relatively fine hair. I don’t know if it’s a defective pair, or if it’s the product.
