These were the most expensive post cap lights I saw, but the only one I could find that fit 2.5x2.5 and was metal and classier looking. That said - they fit perfectly, look great and seem higher quality than the cheaper plastic ones. Snug and tight so they won't be coming off in the wind. (My 2.5 post is metal and painted with 1 coat of paint). Easy to setup, just twist and remove top, turn on the power switch and remove the plastic tab on battery, and it is good to go. But wait... it didn't fit 2.5 and I freaked. Then I realized, the metal downsize ring to make it fit 2.0 was inserted into the base and it WAS NOT obvious because it is a nice metal size adapter the same color as the main base. A little pressure popped that size ring out and it slid right onto my post. There is a second size adapter in the package, so don't freak when you don't notice the one in the base already. Had them for two months and they charge and light up all night. I do live in Seattle, so I expect cloudy days will affect performance like all my other solars.Note this is a bright white light not a cool white light. Many solar yard lights are cool white (almost yellow). I would have preferred a cool white, but just couldn't find it in this size cap. Debating if I should find some light cellophane to go over the bulbs and cool the white color down. Nothing wrong with the way they are, jus don't match the other cooler white lights I have on my patio furniture and yard. But my guests have said they look great as is and like the brighter white contrast along the railing these sit on.

I wanted something nice looking, quality made, with soft lighting to compliment my newly installed fence. I didn’t know what I was looking for, so I searched and searched and stumbled on these. I liked them, so I bought 2 to test them out. They worked BETTER than described because with full sun for one WHOLE winter day (about 9 hours) they stayed on all night and never dimmed or turned off for about 11 hours. I bought another two. 1 did not work out of the box but after an email to the seller and a response within a few hours I was shipped a replacement that was perfect. Ever since then I felt it safe to purchase 11 more to line every other post on either side of our yard. It’s been about 2 weeks since I installed the 11 and they’ve worked EVERY single night, ALL night long. I’ve attached 2 pictures; one at dawn from the woods looking into my yard and the second from our security camera with a view of the walking path between my house and our neighbors. If your looking for lighting for your aluminum fence. This is it! :)

I purchased this cap to put on every other of my fence posts. They light up at dusk and last through the night. I love how they look. Easy to turn on and fits on the post nicely.

Installed 6 of these on top of my aluminum fence. They look great. We’re very easy to install. They charge during the day and come on at dusk automatically. I’ve had them for a couple months and haven’t needed to do anything to them to maintain them. It’s only been a few months but they work great so far.

I bought 4 of these to put on the stair rails leading down from the back of my deck a year and a half ago. They work excellent and are a good quality unit. I don't know why there are so many bad reviews, the product does not deserve it (most of them sound pretty lame or overly picky, imo). No, they are not super bright, they are accent lighting, not reading lamps. But they are plenty bright to illuminate your way down stairs or along a walkway, and they look fantastic from across the yard. I wouldn't want them any brighter. I was so impressed by them I put 4 more around my deck railing. If I needed more I would buy these again. I will admit that the battery charge doesn't last more than a few hours in the winter months (4-5), when the sun is lower and up fewer hours, which is understandable since they are solar dependent, afterall. However, when it's cold out, I don't spend much time outside at night, anyway. But in the summer months, they last all night. Overall I'm plenty happy. I have no problem giving 5 stars.

I like these lights to mount atop the railings on my small porch. For the most part these are working great; bright light, good light, easy to install.ONE problem I had was that one light didn't work at all out of the box. I've swapped out the batteries, but there's nothing at all....I assume there's something funky inside, though there's nothing apparent. Other than that though these are fantastic lights; I like them a lot.Recommended.UPDATE 9/01/19 - Sadly I must change my previous review and my rating from 4 stars to only 1. I have now had TWO of these caps simply not work....they don't seem to charge, they don't seem to charge, they simply don't WORK.VERY disappointed....perhaps they have a bad batch.I DO NOT RECOMMEND AT THIS TIME........ :(

At first I loved them so much that I ordered 6 more. But after 2 months of use, one of them no longer lights up. I haven’t used the other 6 but I’m worried they also won’t last long. At this price point, they should have a much longer life.
