Great Egg Powder For Fresh Egg Substitute! Baking Tip: Simply Add Powder With Dry Ingredients!
I cook and bake extensively, all of our meals are eaten at home with food I prepare. Given the current fresh whole egg shortage in California (thankfully cartons of egg whites are readily available!), I decided to purchase Judee’s Dried Whole Egg Powder for use in baking or general egg eating when fresh whole eggs are unavailable. So happy I ordered this! What a relief in the kitchen. Very pleased with this convenient product! - Per the product instructions, 1 whole large egg - 2 Tablespoons powder. I've found this to be accurate. - Reconstituting The Egg Powder: If you need to reconstitute the egg powder, the instructions call for 2 1/2 Tablespoons of water to 2 Tablespoons egg powder for 1 large whole egg. I've found that I prefer a more water, 3 Tablespoons to 3 1/2 Tablespoons. But it's a matter of personal preference. - Reconstituting Tip: When reconstituting the dried egg powder, I stir it thoroughly with a whisk. I then let set for a couple of minutes, and whisk it again to make sure the powder is thoroughly dissolved, and to see if a bit more water is needed. - Baking Tip: I add the egg powder with my flour when baking, and whisk these 2 dry ingredients together to make sure the egg powder is evenly distributed. Add the correct amount of water for reconstituting the egg powder when adding the liquid ingredients called for in your recipe. - These make delicious scrambled eggs for breakfast and egg sandwiches. I add a pinch of dried herbs (chervil usually) when making them in a cast iron skillet heated up with olive oil covering the bottom of the skillet. I've found stirring with a silicon spatula works best when cooking the scrambled eggs. Salt and pepper is added at the table per personal preference. - Storage After Opening: Store in refrigerator after opening. Per product, it has a 6 month shelf life after opening with proper cold refrigerator storage. I highly recommend this product.

Great Option for Truckers
Honestly I love fresh eggs, but being an Over the Road truck driver, it's not always possible to keep on hand. After 2 near back to back truck breakdowns and having food perish in the fridge during repairs, I needed a different option. This is now my 3rd order of these powdered eggs. I love to make omelettes in advance and store in vacuum sealed bags. The eggs come out delicious cooking on a regular pan (best) and even in the microwave. You can mix with other dried or dehydrated meats and veggies, spices etc. Just add water and cook. The 11oz container makes multiple 3-whole egg omelettes.... and no risk of perishing during a breakdown. Great taste, very functional, and reasonable price!!!

Quality Product, but Pricey
I recently purchased Judee's Dried Whole Egg Powder for the second time, and overall, I'm quite pleased with the product. While I'd love to give it a full 5-star rating, I can't help but dock one star due to the relatively high price. The quality of this egg powder is undeniable. It has become an essential ingredient in my kitchen, especially for making keto-friendly bread. The convenience and versatility it offers are fantastic. No more cracking and whisking eggs every time I want to bake; this powder is a time-saver. The results in my recipes have been consistently excellent, producing delicious and fluffy baked goods. My only reservation is the cost. This product falls on the higher end of the price spectrum, a drawback for budget-conscious shoppers like me. Although I understand that quality often comes at a premium, it would be fantastic if the price could be more competitive. Despite the pricing concern, I can't deny the convenience and quality of Judee's Dried Whole Egg Powder. If the cost is not a major factor for you, it's worth considering. I'll continue to use it, even though I'll keep an eye out for any potential discounts or deals in the future.

Yum
These powdered eggs are tasty! 😋 They honestly resemble fresh eggs when reconstituted per instructions and scrambled. I like them because they last for up to six months when stored in the refrigerator (once opened). There is no rush to consume them by the best by date like a fresh carton of eggs. This allows me to decrease food waste since I don't crave/eat eggs often. They are easy to mix if you use a whisk.

Great Taste. Easy Scrambled Eggs
Ordered 2 bags of these (Whole Egg). Wanting to stretch the grocery store runs from weekly to every 2 weeks or 3. Buying multiple gallons of milk and dozens of eggs...especially when eggs are "Limit 1" got a little challenging. I figured I'd give these a try. I use a little more then the 2.5 Tbl spoons water to make a consistency of similar to regular eggs mixed for scramble or a similar thinned out pancake mix (2.5 Tbl spoons is a paste which I would think would work better for baking). Sorry I grew up with a pastry chef Mom, so it was descriptions vs measurements...so best I can say is put water or milk to what it looks like when you scramble fresh eggs. Last few batches I thinned it with milk vs water to fluff the eggs a little when cooking. Then I just cook off the excess water in the frying pan. These taste great! I like to make 2 slices of toast and 1 large egg with some form of protein on the weekends. These fit the bill perfectly. I can stretch a dozen eggs now out to 2-3 weeks before I have to replenish. I haven't yet gotten through the bag, to know how many servings it actually is, but I haven't made a dent after making about 6 servings. The bag says 24 servings...but seems like quite a bit more...again, descriptions for me not measurements, so maybe my Tablespoon is broken. =) The label is basically the equivalent nutrition to that of a natural large egg. 6g Protein and 80 calories. I skip the cholesterol and sugar values, naturally (however there is a whole whites version if you don't skip the Cholesterol Value). And of course a little bit of iron, Vit D and potassium...basically a large egg. The bag is resealable Mylar and I keep in the fridge. I left the oxygen pack in...directions say to discard. The born on is 8/2021 (if you were wanting to know long term storage utility) on the batch I got, but directions say roughly 6 months after opening and letting the oxygen in when you break the seal...maybe that's why that's why directions say to ditch the absorber in case it starts to take on water. Overall, great taste for my taste buds and easy to follow instructions...sans following measurements of course.

Great option
Great for baking! Use this often for a egg option instead of using fresh, just have to add a little additional water to the formation, but if you do that…it’s a great drop in solution instead of buying fresh eggs. Great for those larger batches, less eggs to crack yourself

Good flavor
We got them for a back country camping trip and they worked great. Now we are using the rest in baking recipes as a replacement For regular eggs.

I use this in baking
This product is great as a substitute for fresh whole eggs in baking recipes. Just follow the instructions on the bag. My baking results have been equal, so no complaints.
