This set of microphones is unbelievable for the price. It’s almost embarrassing how good they are. These are the cheapest microphones I’ve ever bought, yet they easily match mics three or four times the price. The sound is clean, clear, and full. They’re sensitive enough to pick up every nuance, but not too harsh or brittle. As a stereo pair in an X/Y configuration, they capture the stereo field brilliantly. I wouldn’t hesitate to use these on any project. I think they excel on things like flutes, singing bowls, acoustic guitar, etc. I used them on bongos at a live show and they really popped. The only real negative I can find is that they do seem a bit fragile. They’re not built like Shures, so they require careful handling. I’ve owned my set a couple years as of this writing, and they’re still holding up fine. Of course, they are condensers so they do require phantom power. Like most microphones, they're not perfect for every application. I tried them on saxophone and wasn't impressed at all. But they sounded good on flute. UPDATE: 1 star knocked off for faulty assembly or design that allowed the exterior switch to fall out after three uses. [See photo] This switch changes a much smaller switch on a circuit board inside the mic that you do NOT want to poke with a pen! SUGGESTION: If you find a setting you use all the time, put a bit of tape on the switch. Still a good mic for the money. #### I am a radio pro, decades in the biz, but a NOT a person who records music. These work great for my interview needs in and out of a studio. I bought a second set to use with multiples guest as my P4 recorder accepts 4 mics. Things to know: These are "condenser" mics using XLR cables [not included] and MUST be plugged into something providing "phantom power" through the cable. This means a mixer or a decent recorder. You cannot plug these into an iPhone, tablet or small business recorder and use them. These mics use the popular "cardioid" pattern perfect for voice and some music. Experiment with holding them nearer or farther away to find the "sweet spot" for your voice. There are three settings that essential adjust the sensitivity of the mic. Experiment with each, as the results are quite different. Use the foam covers that come with them. Do not hand-hold them. Mic holders are included but not mic stands. Store them in the padded plastic case they come in. Get GOOD shielded cables to avoid interference from computers, etc. MUCH better than the no-name brands with fancy looking grills and LED lights.

Incredibly inexpensive.. For the money the sound quality is just fine.. They wont win any awards versus my Sm-81s but for the price I can totally get em in the ball park with a bit of eq. I am using them in multiple rehearsal rooms for drum overheads in a ORTF setup. With minimal fuss I can a solid overhead sound with any halfway decent drummer. Also comes with a case and a decent stereo mount.

At the low price they seemed like a low risk investment, and they turned out to be just that. I do remote recordings, and you always want to have standbys for everything. I always go out with two digital recorders, and a couple of stereo pairs just to make sure the gig goes down. People don't pay for failures! Up till now the fallback pair has always been a set of SM 57s, and I will still carry them. But a pair of matched condensers is even more desirable, so I grabbed these as a backup pair. I'm glad I did. A couple of weeks ago I had a gig in a church where I hung the mics over a balcony, only to discover that there was a problem with one of them. I pulled the C-2s out and tried them. The results were surprisingly good! The client loved the sound, and I did not have tell them that I used a $40 set of mics, either. Paid for themselves on the first gig, and then some. Certainly not a replacement for Neumann or AKG, but definitely worth having around, just in case.

Good mics, great price. I got a chance to use a couple of these before buying my own. The quality is what I was looking for, but the price was like icing on the cake. You would be very happy with these. Just a helpful note: I put these on a mixer with some dynamic mics that don't use the phantom power. They integrated well with very little gain fiddling. The dynamic mics don't get damaged by the phantom power being switched on. A lot of people wonder about that.

My daughter's show choir operates on a very tight sound budget. It was an absolute requirement we spend our money wisely and still get quality sound. After reading other reviews on these microphones (both good and bad), we purchased two sets of these for our end of the year school program. The students sing jazz and pop music. Many songs were acapella. Before the purchase, I compared the specifications of the C-2 to several more expensive microphones. The Behringer C-2 microphones were reasonably sensitive and offered the prospect of good feedback rejection with their pickup pattern. In the end, while wanting to purchase expensive microphones (because you get what you pay for most of the time!), we bought the C-2 instead and absolutely could not have been more pleased with their performance. Like other reviewers, it is my opinion for the price, these cannot be beat. I have a reasonable ear (not professional at all) and it is my opinion there is not a significant improvement in sound between these and other more expensive mics. With special monitoring equipment, you might detect small sound differences but probably not important enough to warrant the extra $$. After all, in live stage performances, it is about being heard clearly and controlling feedback. These microphones deliver at a price point that is unbelievable. We do not need more expensive microphones. These fit our needs perfectly. I firmly believe you get much more than what you pay for with the C-2. Buy them. I do not believe you will be disappointed.
