Perfect!
This really does mix well with oil. It mixes evenly all the way through, without leaving any blobs of unmixed color. The colors are vibrant, and a little goes a long way. Well worth the price.

I know I'll have amazing results after using the Wilton Primary Candy Color Set!
I gave this product 5 stars because even though I haven't used the Wilton Candy Color Set yet, I've always been very satisfied with all the Wilton products I purchased in the past, so I just know that I won't have any disaapointments with this product either. I bought this product after many batches of trying to color melting chcolate wafer chips using regular store bought water based food coloring. I learned later on after browsing baking blogs that how we know water and oil doesn't mix, well chocolate and water doesn't mix either. All the food coloring I've been previously using was water based. So I bought the Wilton Primary Candy Color Set because it's oil based, and also on the Wilton site, they said this is the product to use if you wanted to color your melting chocolate wafer chips. Little did I know at the time, I thought after coloring separate bowls of white melted chocolate using the different colors of the food coloring, I thought my end result would be many different colors I could dip my cakepops, pretzels, oreos, etc in, but I was disappointed when all the bowls of white chocolate seized up and quickly becamed difficult to manage, so basically unusable. I trashed all the bowls of chocolate. My family always look to me when it's a birthday party, celebration, etc to make all the sweet baked goods-cupcakes,cakepops,pretzels,oreos,various flavor cookies, brownies, etc. I hope this review could help someone in the future!

Easy to use. Didn’t take much
Small but only need a drop or two. I’ve only used the pink and it’s a really nice pink. You vs. see the pictures with the pink cake pop. Didn’t change taste at all.

A little bit goes a long way.
Like other types of food colorings, these are very concentrated. A little bit goes a very long way, except for the black. It seemed a little chunkier and a bit dry. I did need quite a bit more of it in the white melting wafers I was using and it also stained my fingers and was much more stubborn and harder to wash off than the other colors in the box. They did work fine with no seizing problems I've sometimes had in the past with regular food dyes.

Bought for the pink
Used a few drops of the pink dye in white chocolate for these chocolate covered Rice Krispie treats. Package came with all four colors and no dye had leaked out of any of the containers. I just took a toothpick and stuck it in the dye and then let the dye drop into the chocolate when it was melted and mixed it in.

Great for dying oil in sensory bottles for kids
I bought these colors because I wanted to make Minion sensory bottles to give away as take home gifts at my son's 3rd birthday. The sensory bottles were made with mineral oil and water. To color the mineral oil, I needed to use oil based dyes, regular food coloring will not work, so these were perfect. I colored all of the oil yellow, and the water blue, to make little minions. Even when shaken, the colors separate perfectly. No green minions! I glued the lids on each bottle with E6000, to create a permanent bond. (Certainly don't want any oil spilling on someone's carpet later!) And then we printed and taped on eyeballs. These were such a hit and totally cute! I can't wait to try out different colors and add-in's (like glitter) for future sensory bottles!

Just ok.
Used the red from this product. It was just ok. Not very dark and had to use several drops in a small amount of chocolate. Really wish Wilton would put these in a squeeze bottle. They're very messy to open and to use with a toothpick. I also bought the pastel colors and they worked a little better, but only because they're a lighter color. I didn't notice any changes in the flavor of the chocolate either. Would recommend for home use, but not for professional use. At least for the red anyway. Haven't tried the other colors in this set.
