YONGZHI Fishing Poles with Spinning Reels Combos Telescopic Fishing Rod for Travel Saltwater Freshwater Fishing Bass Trout

This was my first time ever purchase a this type of fishing pole. The rod can be shrink into an easy carry length. That was the best thing about this line. ( I don't believe US store carries this type style of fishing pole at all). item did arrived in a well packed case/package. however, I had it sits in my garage until this past Sunday morning to test it out at the lake. I am using it to fish only for lake bass, walleye (sometime get crappies) the average weight for those fish are around .5bls- 5bls here. the pole has a nice grab from its bottom handle. (that helps when you fighting off with the fish and getting it off the surface) I would say this fishing pole is ONLY ideal for the lake fishing and cast/catch fish size under 8bls. If you are looking for sea fishing, I don't think this will be "heavy duty" enough for the mission.

Bought a Sougayilang travel combo to keep in my small car. 3rd time out the line roller assy came loose from the base so I had to disassemble to trouble-shoot and fix. Went to my Google machine to research and found a disturbing but helpful video from youtuber "Ish With Fish". As I took the reel apart thereafter I quickly confirmed what his video showed - that many components are cheaply made. From the drag to the handle there is a lot of internal parts that will wear quickly if I catch fish like I hope too.It's still a functional rod & reel - but don't be surprised if you need to replace it, or parts of it, after a short amount of use. I recommend this be a little-used travel companion only.

Just received the package in the mail and after i extended it to see how long it was the tip of it wouldn't go back in and bent and broke.Update, customer service contacted me right away after my review and replaced it no problem. I will update my review when I get the new rod in a few days.New rod works great. It fits perfectly in my backpack for when I want to go fishing and also take the motorcycle. If needed I would purchase again. Customer service is very prompt with getting back to customers.

I bought the Yongzhi telescoping fishing rod and spinning reel combination to have a decent quality rod and reel to taking on trips driving to the beach or even on flights. The rod is 7 feet when extended and is made of carbon fiber with nice ceramic guides. It collapses down to only 3 feet long and comes with a carrying pouch, but I haven’t tried to fit it in the pouch with the reel attached. The spin casting reel is very smooth and appears to be well made. I loaded it up with 17lb test line, which might be a little big for it, but it still casts very well. Overall, I am very happy with this as an addition to the dozens of other rod and reels I have so that I have a nice portable one for traveling.

Bought one after reading reviews. Got it on time and then went fishing after 2 weeks. The rod broke from the base after catching fish while pulling.... I was so disappointed that I threw the rod in the lake.... Now I have to look for some other one...It was a good size trout like close to 2lbs. I was fishing over at Ruidi Reservoir. I thing the rod was defective made under the handle which I noticed it once it broke down. The layer of carbon fiber was very thin at that broken spot. Was so pissed off that I had to throw the broken rod in to the water, because Ruidi Reservoir is out of no where. I had to just sit and watch my friends catching lots of fish

I've been slowly phasing out my husband’s old poles and rods. When this arrived we noticed it is very skinny compared to the rest of the poles he has. However, despite being skinny, it still feels very good in hand. The reel is a simple 2000 series and feels really good when using. My husband went out to the lake and spooled it with 12 lb test and used it to catch some fish. He caught two smaller catfish with it and said the action was just perfect for feeling their bites and reeling them in felt fine.

I like this rod and reel !!! This collapsible rod has a reusable hard plastic Protector for the eyes while it's collapsed for easy storage in the nylon bag it comes with. I think this is a perfect set up to take hiking when you can expect good trout streams on the way. The reel is slick looking and has smooth action the gear ratio is 5.2:1 in this BD2000 model. Listing mm/M 0.18/240. 0.20/200. 0.25/140 for your line size/length ratio.This one is Colorado bound for some trout fishing in the Rocky Mountains!!

I am new to fishing, hated any idea of fishing in the past; wanted a starter rod and reel. Very pleased with the quality of construction. Important to me that rig is collapsible able to be put in my back pack. Every inch of this combo seems well built under inspection.
