De la Rosa Mazapan, Marzipan De la Rosa, Mexican Original Peanut Candy, Regular Pack of 30

So, this product was a complete double take surprise for us. We bought our first box from TJ Max when it was on clearance. We did not think anything of it other than there was a lot of product, heavy box, and a cheap price. Normality ended there. If you like Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, DO NOT BUY THIS!!! You will no longer think of Reese's the same ever again. My wife has to help me with self control as I will go through half a box of this stuff in one day if I do not pay attention. Let me start off with the negatives. First, at the time of this writing, I have not yet tried the chocolate covered version of this. So, this review is exclusively for the uncoated peanut disks. Second, they crumble easily. They have just enough moisture in them to stick together if you handle them VERY carefully. A brute will easily confuse them with packaged peanut butter powder. Third, you can not order them directly from the manufacture. I tried after looking up their website on the box I got from TJ Max. I was lucky enough to find them here on Amazon. Fourth, they are not cheap. Given their flavor and texture, you will find out how quickly they will disappear. The ingredients seem simple, but their texture and mild flavor is where things get complicated. Throwing together powered sugar, peanut butter powder, and crushed peanuts will not get you close to this stuff. Now for the good stuff. The flavor is delicate, simple, and delicious. The stuff dissolves in your mouth and yet maintains a mild crunch from the peanut pieces. If you ever had COOKED duce de leche, picture a peanut flavored version of it in powdered form. This stuff taste like that. You get a LOT in the box but not nearly enough if you fall in love with it like I did. There are lots of these things in a box. They are stacked in threes, put in rows of two and columns of five. You get 30 of them in a box. Each disk is half an inch tall and has a diameter of 1.75 inches. Each disk is weighed at 1oz or 28 grams. They open from the bottom and are all well sealed. You will sometimes fail in opening them without breaking the disk. Even with caution, you will likely find them messy. Two disks after a meal unless you become like me. So, be warned. You will never see a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup ever the same after having one of these.

Got these when I was a kid, so I had to get them when I had the chance. Too good to miss out!

I personally bought this for a friend who doesn't have them at their local grocery store / walmart. Which I will personally say I love these to death because of how great of a flavor they have. My only personal gripe of this is the cost of these on amazon are like 4 times the amount I can get from my local Fry's / Krogers and Walmart. :/

I didn't know what to expect since I could not see the physical package but I can honestly say this is just like the real thing you buy in Mexico.
