As one of the few female reviewers of this item, let me help the ladies out here. This is the perfect gift for the handy guy that seems to already have every tool. I gifted this to my boyfriend and it turns out he already had the smaller version of the same tool already (insert "That's what she said!" joke here) and it's been one of favorite tools for many years. He was absolutely delighted with the big boy version and I was more than a little amused to watch him swing between gleeful little boy with new toy and caveman bent on woton destruction with aforementioned new toy during the 30 minutes of inspection with weight and balance test swings immediately following the opening of this gift. You can't go wrong here, ladies. :)

I work at a lumber yard and I use this tool daily for all kinds of stuff. It's built to last, gives good leverage, and should absobe a part of ypur toolbox if you're in any kind of construction trade work. One small word of caution, it is HEAVY for its size but that's what gives its driving power. Definitely a great gift for someone too!

I have used this tool for tile shower demolition, interior and exterior wall knock-down and flooring tear-up, exterior brick foundation removal,occasional framing problems and general tom-foolery. Without exception, this fubar has been up to the task. This is one of my top 10 favorite tools, and I would buy it again in a heartbeat if it ever broke, although it has never given me any indication that it ever will. The only thing this tool does not excel at is nail-pulling, finish carpentry, and blending in. I could literally destroy every room in my house with "Stanley D" before lunch. The 2x4 "grabber" end is perfect for tweaking studs into or out of position, and the prying end is perfect for everything else, although the wedge/nail puller part could be a little thinner for getting into tight spots (this can be ground down for a custom thickness though, so not a big deal). The hammer end is nothing but pure delight, as the weight of the tool renders even the most tentative swing satisfactory results. This fubar is not light! I have not weighed it, but am confident it is close to the stated weight of almost 9lbs. Have fun with this happy little monster!

High quality Heavy(is a good thing) Versatile It is both useful and beautiful. The design is very balanced and you don't feel the full weight when handling it. It is very good for demolition both wood and drywall .

After disconnecting the water supply’s I can easily rip out a bathroom and lift the floors with this one tool, i also use it when pipe fitting to line up flanges and for also splitting flanges. Great quality i would say great value for money. Well balanced and comfortable to use.

Great, versatile hammer that has more uses than i initially thought it could be used for. So much more than just a hammer for taking down studding.
