Orient Men's Stainless Japanese Automatic / Hand Winding Field Watch

Absolutely love this watch! For the money a field watch with triple complication, second hacking, and screw down crown 100m water resistant you can’t lose! Mine holds within 5-10 seconds a week!!! Highly recommend!!!

Very good value for the money. I like the look and design. It is formal enough, and yet casual enough to wear it out and about everywhere. The bands are really nice and more padded than other watches. I have a large wrist, so a 42mm watch is going to look fine on me. You can feel the rotor as it moves. The bearings aren't the best, as it isn't a perfectly smooth movement. If you place the watch up to your ear, you can also hear it. Otherwise, solid watch. Over a week, it's probably only +/- 4 seconds from a crystal watch

This watch is an interesting blend of pilot, field, and sport watch. I like the atypical placement of the sub-dials. Overall this design seems uniquely Orient and is the reason I chose this model to represent Orient in my collection. Accuracy has been good. Deducting one star due to minor alignment imperfections and a couple of loose fitting bracelet link pins. I have the blue colorway with bracelet. It looks good on a black leather strap too. A great a value.

I was a little skeptical about this watch because it was a from a brand that was not familiar to me but after reading about it and checking out the reviews from other places other than Amazon I decided to get one and I was not disappointed. It’s very comfortable to wear and looks great. It’s automatic movement is accurate to about 5 seconds per day it has a screw down crown and has hacking movement. It’s a fairly large size which works great for me but might not for people with a smaller wrist.

I have had three of these. Two for myself and one was given as a gift to a relative. It is sometimes difficult to determine if it is a quartz watch or not, that's how accurate it is when it is worn on the wrist (not simply kept in a watch winder or hand wound all the time). I'm not saying it is as accurate as a quartz watch, however it is very accurate. On one of mine I changed the band to a blue band that I ordered from AliExpress. It has gotten multiple compliments. Someday I hope to put sapphire in it, then it will really be an amazing watch! It has a screw down crown and an O-ring within the screw down crown. It also has an o-ring on the screw down back, yes I have checked. Just a very enjoyable watch to own!

Gorgeous, unique look and a little regulation will make it as perfect as any watch costing thousands or even tens of thousands more. Luminosity is fine, day/date does its job better than any I've owned before and it's got an impressive appearance with its own, non-copied design.

Very nice watch for the money. Looks and feels like a much higher priced quality.

Great choice for the classic outfit!

Couldn’t resist buying this watch when it went on sale. Looks amazing in person. I was really impressed with the quality of the strap as well. Not only is it a great colour match for the watch but it looks and feels much better than the aftermarket nato straps I have. Mine is running about 10 seconds fast per day but that’s really not a big deal. The quality and features at this price point ($320) are amazing. I’m now looking at a couple of other Orient watches to buy!

Product was as described and, by pure luck, in good condition. This was a quite expensive and fragile purchase that was just chucked into a poorly padded bag that arrived ripped open with the watch box hardly inside it. This is in contrast to what I expected which was a substantial box as provided by other suppliers. Very poor.

El Orient Defender II es un reloj de estilo militar con un diseño robusto y funcional. Encontré este reloj y fue “amor a primera vista”. Estaba buscando un Orient pero no quería la formalidad del Bambino y al verlo me con-venció inmediatamente. Me gustó que es un Field Watch pero más bien está en la frontera. Es un reloj de campo pero al mismo tiempo es un reloj smart casual o semiformal. Eso sí, con cierto estilo militar. Vas a encontrar la caja de acero inoxidable y correa de piel muy bonita y resistente. No me encantan las correas de piel, de hecho había pensado ponerle una NATO, pero al ponérmela me gustó mucho. Aún no la he cambiado y no creo necesario hacerlo en el corto plazo. El Movimiento es automático: el conocido movimiento in house de Orient. Muy preciso. Funciona con el movimiento de la muñeca pero también se le puede dar cuerda. La reserva de energía es de cuarenta y tantas horas, en mi caso concreto, dura un día completo sin uso. Por otra parte es relativamente fácil ajustar nuevamente la fecha y la hora al volverlo a usar, si llegara a detenerse. En cuanto a la iluminación. Los marcadores tienen pasta luminosa. Funciona bien en relativa oscuridad pero no es para utilizarlo en ambientes muy oscuros. Se ve precioso cuando se iluminan. Tiene además detalles, que considero un guiño de la marca. Tanto la correa, como la corona están firmadas. Lo mismo que el dial presenta el logo de Orient y la leyenda “Automatic” ubicados entre la 1 y las 2. También tiene sub esferas de distintos tamaños: una para los días de la semana y otra de 24 horas. Lo cual le da una asimetría muy atractiva y realza bastante las distintas complicaciones. Otro detalle estético que me gustó es el segundero en punta de flecha alargada en color rojo. Solo ese detalle lo hace ver muy distinto a otros relojes y denota la calidad y el cuidado del detalle de la marca. Recomendación: no lo dudes. Si buscas un field watch diferente o un reloj estético y funcional sin llegar a ser formal y además con movimiento automático, este es.

As a time telling device this thing does what it supposed to. If I just wanted to tell time I could have bought a cheap digital watch. It was a different experience I was after. I wanted something that did the same thing but still looked great and felt great that I didn't have to worry about. This does all that so far. It's been my daily driver for a few weeks. I love the NATO strap it came on. It's comfortable and has worn in nicely. The watch itself looks fantastic. The screw down crown is a plus for the added water resistance. I really appreciate the ease of setting the time and date as well as this movements ability to hand wind and hack. I wish it had a sapphire crystal. But that's something I can upgrade at a later date. Overall I love this watch. But everything is subjective and your mileage may vary.
