These work better than any large mounted antennae on my truck or trailers!!! Ordered one for all my hunting buddies and for my towing and recovery business! Great!!!!

Look it’s great but if you keep it folded for a long period it will go bad and it will still work it will just never be fully extended without breaking down.

I bought this kind of as a joke just to pull out at field days. I saw reviews on YouTube and everyone said it was the real deal. I got mine and immediately tried it out. I went to a near by hill and I was able to talk to a repeater about 30 mile away with no problem. Even the shorted ducky antenna was a big improvement over the stock uv5r antenna. If you can get past the over the top size of the antenna you will love it. Of course I knew about the size before I ordered it.

Good quality exactly what I was looking for

I bought this because it had the gooseneck feature. When it was delivered the gooseneck was not in the package. I contacted Amazon who told me to contact ABBREE to get a replacement. ABBREE told me to contact Amazon and they wouldn't replace the missing part. HORRIBLE customer service by both Amazon and ABBREE!! I will never buy or recommend ABBREE products again!!!

VSWR is above 6:1 in 144 MHz, that is all I have to say

While it makes the radio very top heavy being 48.8inches, it blows any other handheld antenna out of the water in terms of signal strength. The only thing better than this is getting an adapter and putting a long cable to ground/building/car mounted antenna but that's not the same kind of portable you're probably looking for if you use a handheld. Pro Tips: 1) Don't keep the antenna folded down at all when not in use or storing it while at home or else the rubber will start to want to stay folded and won't stay up very easily as time goes on. Only fold it down when actually transporting it away from home. 2) Use the various rubber washers included in the packaging to adjust where in the rotation the fit to the radio becomes snug. If it stop turning with the fold facing away from you, it might collapse whenever you have the radio angled downwards while inputting commands. I like to have the fold facing sideways. 3) Don't hold the radio completely horizontally without using your other hand or something to support the antennas weight or you might snap your radios connector port from all that downwards torque the weight of the antenna will put on it.

SWR is better on 2 meters than 70 cm - can bring up repeaters over 70 KM away using 5 Watt HT from inside my house. Great range - sturdy build.
